Hotele niedaleko Café Sekayu, Kuala Terengganu

My partner had chosen Ming Paragon as our home for 3 nights in Kuala Terengganu as it was centrally located & close to many places of interest. It proved to be a good decision as much research had taken place prior to our holiday. Our flight had arrived in mid-morning. But since check-in was at 2:00 pm, we had brunch first & visited 2 places of interest to kill time. We arrived at the hotel just before 2:00 pm & parked the car in front of Ming Paragon as we were not aware that the hotel’s parking was behind the building. We had also used a parking app to pay for the street parking. Check-in was fast & hassle-free. There was no porter or concierge service as this is a 3-star hotel. We carried our luggage ourselves. Our room was on the 1st floor. It was smaller than I expected. However, it was decent & clean. The mattress was not as comfortable but the strategic location more than made up for it. The air-conditioning was good & at least there was floor space for us to pray. The bathroom was a good size. The water pressure was equally good. Best of all, it was equipped with a hand-bidet. That was a pleasant surprise as it was a Chinese hotel to begin with & I half expected it not to have one. The shower gel, shampoo & conditioner smelled good too. A hair-dryer was also available. WiFi was available & complimentary. However, the TV reception wasn’t good. There was much interference. Since we were mostly outdoors, it didn’t bother us so much. Although there was no refrigerator, there was a coffee & tea-making facility. A central fridge was available in the lobby. Hence, we had left our food in their chiller. We had parked at the hotel’s designated parking in the evening. A security guard watches over our car free of charge as it was complimentary for hotel guests. We will definitely stay again whenever we are in Terengganu as Ming Paragon Hotel had met our expectations.

The room is comfortable..satisfied..but if you take the toilet outside, the toilet is a bit far away..I am most satisfied because it is close to the city😍 if you want something on a budget, just for sleeping, I really recommend it..the price is cheap☺️ thank you

Bilik overall okey but smell carpet and room like old…my suggestion to spray with air refresher or put the air refresher…tq

During my recent stay at Paya Bunga Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by its prime location at the heart of the city, offering convenience and accessibility to local attractions including PB Square and the famous Nasi Dagang Atas Tol (KT Branch), not forgetting the Pasar Payang too, it only takes less than 10 minutes to reach.. What set this stay apart was the hotel's restaurant located on the 11th floor. The ambience of the dining area and the food itself was nothing short of superb. This hotel is a gem for those looking to immerse themselves in the local culture and cuisine, all while enjoying the comforts of refined hospitality..

We have selected this hotel to explore Kuala Terrenganu without being among the traffic of the city side, and it was a good choice. Set on a wide area with gardens, the chalets look nice, with a lot a space around, and a buggy service if you do not wish to walk. For sure the place used to be in better conditions, and hopefully they will be able to fully renovate it if more tourists will visit this area. The room was ok, and clean, breakfast was good, and you could either sit indoor or outdoor with a nice view on the river. Duyong is a nice island where you can walk around freely, or you can just book a Grab to go to town at any time. The staff were very friendly and polite. Would we return? Yes!

Room was neat and spacious for family of 5 like me. Bfast food delicious, swimming pool was excellent, the kids love it so much, will definitely come again.

I loved the view where you can randomly see the airplane departing and landing now and then. The room was quite nice, with all the amenities. I look forward to booking here again if I ever come to Terengganu in the future

During the Raya week, we went to Permai Hotel KT for a staycation. We really enjoyed it. The hotel room was clean and recently renovated. The kids love the comfortable bed and the swimming pool. The room comes with 2 complimentary breakfast for adults and extra fees for kids older than 4 years old. There’re lots of options for breakfast, including typical Malaysian nasi, noodles, cereals, kuih, fruits and salad. We also took dinner there. We ordered pastas and they were served with lots of seafood and vegetables. Between, I guess the sauce was mostly made from scratch. And the ingredients were fresh. The taste was awesome. My younger one is always picky with food. Yet she couldn’t stop eating her pasta and other orders 😆 The quality of the food far exceeds the standard for a 3 star hotel. Also, all the food was reasonably priced. With RM170 per night for a superior room, I think the experience and quality far exceed what it should deliver 😊. If you’re looking for a comfortable yet reasonably priced stay in Kuala Terengganu town., I highly recommend this hotel. And my only regret? With no presence of 5 star hotels in Kuala Terengganu, I had to find the best alternative. I was lucky to find Valya Hotel, situated in an area called Gong Badak. If you are having a hard time finding the perfect hotel, I think your search should end with this hotel. Look, I am someone who values good quality and top rated hotels for a comfortable stay. This hotel has many of the things I was looking for: - Free WiFi - Elevator - Close to shops, eateries, convenience stores (e.g. Jakel, Mydin, Watsons, 7-11, pharmacy etc) - Close to airport (less than 10 minutes) - Basic bath amenities and in-room slippers provided (towels, toothbrush are available) - Strong rain shower pressure, proper bidet These factors would suffice to ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience. The price point is extremely affordable. I booked a Superior Triple room with window. Although there is no ”view” from the window, you can still have some light shining through, for a less claustrophobic environment. Other things that were missing, but acceptable at the price you are paying: - No breakfast - No in-room safe - No dedicated parking space for hotel guests (more on this below) - No view from window (as mentioned) My main gripe will be parking, as mentioned by other guests who reviewed this property as well. As there are many shophouses, you should expect a chaotic and congested area full of vehicles during the day. Parking is chargeable at RM0.60 per hour, and you can pay for parking at the various stations around the parking lot, with some not functioning at all. It is a challenge to find space close to the hotel, and you will end up having to move your car closer to your hotel when the congestion clears up in the evening. Another plus staying here will be a self service laundromat on the other side of the row of shophouses. Overall, Valya Hotel is a perfect hotel for a comfortable stay in Terengganu. You can reach the city centre in mere minutes, and the airport is within close proximity. Highly recommended!
