This is a very basic hotel and therefore difficult to understand its high rating. I stayed in Room 409 and encountered many problems. It was noisy especially the aircon which is right next to the bed and vibrates all the time. So much so that I slept without aircon for half my stay. Also early in the morning someone was dragging and scraping furniture around. My complaint about this to Reception just elicited a shrug of the shoulders! The bathroom is very small and basic. No shelving to put things on. Even the sink is very small and just enough to balance a toothbrush on it. The water pressure was good but the shower design meant it was liable to flood the bathroom. They also give very poor, cheap toiletries. The room cleaning is very quick, basic and cursory. There is a pillar in the centre of the room which gets in the way! The TV only has 5 channels! Btw, my room was a Premier Room so I would hate to have booked a Standard Room! Finally, and this is obviously not the hotel's fault, but Malaysia adds a tourist tax of RM10 per night for all foreign visitors. Also prices for entry to public places such as museums tend to be one price for locals and a higher price for foreigners (quite steeply higher in some cases).
