Hotelli hyvällä paikalla Kuopiossa, ilmainen lämmitys p-paikka. Pääsi aamu uinille ja saunaan. Aamupala hyvä ja runsas.

Very friendly staff, nice and clean room and great views to the Kallavesi lake. Also, good breakfast and fresh, tasty lunch plus delicious snacks with the afternoon coffee. I can only recommend the accommodation. Conference premises on the other hand did not work quite as expected.

Good location, friendly service, quick check-in process, nice pool and sauna, ok breakfast (not anything exceptional though). Room cleaning service was not good. First day, the room was cleaned but one needed detective skills to say it: an empty box of tissues, for example, was not replaced (think if we had run out of toilet paper!), while the rest of the bathroom was barely touched. On the second day of our stay, we put the "please clean my room" tag on the door at 10:00am. The floor was being cleaned until almost 17:00 hours but our room was not cleaned at all. I think the hotel needs to talk to their cleaning staff because, if rooms aren't being serviced, one doesn't get anything additional compared to staying in an Airbnb.

The breakfast buffet is reasonably varied as expected in northern Europe but it's failing in too many respects: the juices are mixed from a concentrate, frozen berries served in August (not fresh, and yes, they are served frozen hard), croissants are supermarket items and cold, no muesli, did not find any fruit conserved or fresh, all in all confusing lay-out and there may be things which remain hidden after a lot of searching (cereals and granola are at the far ends of a long table). The most annoying thing is that the honest pay, dishonest don't, as if the payment was voluntary. We were not hotel guests but come completely openly from the street as we knew the hotel sells breakfast to anyone, which is good. No-one paid any attention to us and we could easily have left without paying. This is similar in many other hotels too, but highly annoying.

Our room was extremely small for a double. We found broken glass on a table. There was dirt round the skirting boards. One chair had some kind of small debris on the edge of the seat (bread crumbs?). The TV had a list of ca 20 channels, only half of which worked. When calling the reception about these issues, the receptionist showed up quickly to clean the room, but did not apologize, and denied to give us another room (said hotel was full). One of two elevators was out of service during our 2 day stay. We asked to talk to management. The receptionist promised that management would call us back, but it never happened.

Upraded rooms with air-conditioning. The hotel is located in a building from the 70's and it seems they have done a partitial renovation. Some things seem older than others. All the basics work well, nothing special to mention. The hotel is located in a beautiful location by the lake Kallavesi, but the scenery is sadly totally lost, you really see it only from the staircase (or room, if it has lake-view). There is a terrace on the lake-side, but no service there. Hotel's pool was being renovated, so we couldn't try it. Breakfast was ok, I've had better breakfast in other Scandic hotels. Item labels were misplaced and many items (for example smoothie) had way too much sugar in them.

Location is very nice and peaceful by the lake. We booked the room with balcony so we had beautiful lake scenery. Good jogging routes. Room was nice and spacious. I like breakfast at any Scandic but there was awesome surprise: ice coffee!!! ＜3

We had a two days visit with our group of retired rectors kin Savonia. We came on tuesday 14th of may and left on thursday 16th. Our poroblem was that we must change our room to the other night which wasn´t very comfortable.

This is a centrally located hotel for the town. Rooms are compact but comfortable. Bathroom was basic and had everything needed. Bonus was a free laundry room with a washer and dryer. Needed help with the machine and the receptionist kindly came upstairs with me and fixed the problem. I found everybody on staff to be just lovely and helpful. We had dinner at the dining room which was very good. And the breakfast buffet was delicious, with great variety. I’d definitely stop here again.
