Dhawa Yura Kyoto – opinie

I've had my eye on this hotel for years. Passing by the entrance, I always thought it had great style, and its proximity to the Kamo River is just incredible. For anyone who loves the Kamo River, it's pure bliss. Most of the guests here are from Western countries, and the food selection leans Western, though they do offer Japanese staples like rice, miso soup, and grilled mackerel. The hotel also provides bicycle rentals, and cycling along the Kamo River has always been a little dream of ours, which we finally got to fulfill this trip. The room was spacious enough to open two suitcases, and the tatami area added a nice touch of casual fun. We booked a two-night package through Trip.com, which included breakfast for two, and it was incredibly good value. We even bought two more packages and hope to use them again soon!

The room was quite spacious for Japan. When I first entered, I noticed the duvet wasn't smooth, but then realized that's just how it is. It didn't feel like a down comforter, so I thought I wouldn't sleep well, but I actually slept fine for the 2 nights I stayed.

Beautiful environment and excellent location, just a two-minute walk from three Keihan subway stations. Guests receive a welcome drink upon check-in. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, and clean. I would choose this hotel again.

Such a spacious room is a rare find in Kyoto. The hotel has a great style and is conveniently located near the Kamo River and the Sanjo shopping district. There's a tram and subway station right outside, making it easy to get anywhere. If you have a lot of luggage, a taxi to Kyoto Station costs about 2000 JPY. The hotel also offers a 24-hour complimentary coffee bar. I hope to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

This hotel is super accessible, right by Keihan Sanjo Station. Once you step through the seemingly quiet entrance, you're greeted by a stylish modern Japanese interior and a lovely lounge area. The lounge is great – free water, a coffee machine, and complimentary snacks. I stayed in a double room with no view, but it was spacious and comfortable. Honestly, even in the nicest hotels, filling up a bathtub is a hassle, and shower curtains can sometimes smell, so a shower-only booth was perfectly fine for me. The loungewear, bathrobes, and towels were all plentiful and easy to use. Since they're committed to environmental protection, the amenities provided are just hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and a toothbrush, so I'd recommend bringing your own if you need anything else. Plus, there are two convenience stores just a 1-2 minute walk away.

We had a wonderful stay at Dhawa Yura Kyoto and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The location is excellent, right next to Sanjo Station and within easy walking distance of Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Nishiki Market and many of Kyoto's main attractions. It made getting around the city incredibly easy. The hotel itself is modern, stylish and immaculately clean. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, quiet and a welcome place to relax after long days exploring Kyoto in the summer heat. One of the highlights was the breakfast. There was an excellent selection of both Japanese and Western dishes, with fresh fruit, eggs, rice, grilled fish, noodles, miso soup, vegetables, pastries, juices and good coffee and English breakfast tea. Everything was fresh and well presented, and it gave us a great start before our early morning adventures. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming and professional throughout our stay. We particularly appreciated being able to hire bicycles from the hotel, which allowed us to cycle to Kiyomizu-dera at sunrise before the crowds arrived. It became one of the highlights of our entire Japan trip. Overall, Dhawa Yura offered the perfect combination of comfort, service and location. If you're looking for a boutique hotel in Kyoto that's close to everything while still feeling peaceful and relaxing, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Dhawa Yura was our second hotel in Kyoto and it is actually very well located at the Sanjo station which makes it walkable for Gion/central Kyoto/Higashiyama and well connected to other main touristic areas through the subway. The hotel itself is really a boutique property and the staff is very attentive to the details - the hotel manager even came to greet my partner and I. The premier room was quite spacious and the design was mixing traditional Japanese influence and western commodities. Cleaning can be marginally enhanced in the rooms (notably in the bathroom). I would definitely come back to this hotel for the great value for money provided, for its staff and its geographical situation within Kyoto.

This is a comfortable and quite stylish hotel. The idea of a window in the shower seemed a bit unusual to me, but there is a curtain there, thankfully! 😄 It has a great location, not far from Gion, and you can quickly get to Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari from here. The breakfasts are good; in addition to the buffet, they offer to bring you an omelet and tea/coffee separately.

Clean, modern, wonderful service, walkable distance to down town for shopping, highly recommended.

The hotel's interior is very elegant, with a beautiful bamboo garden in the atrium. The room was exceptionally clean, tidy, and comfortable. Its location near both the subway and Kintetsu stations is very convenient. However, the hotel might not be very soundproof due to its proximity to the road, as car noises can be quite loud.

Great location with various transportation options nearby, making it very convenient for getting around. It's just a few minutes' walk to the shopping street in Sanjo. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. Breakfast had limited choices, but both the service and taste were satisfactory. The bathroom only provided toothbrushes and shower amenities, unlike other traditional Japanese business hotels that offer a full range of personal items. The lobby has a lounge area with complimentary 24-hour coffee, tea, and snacks. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English. A separate accommodation tax needs to be paid upon check-out.
