It’s always a great experience to spend a day or more in this beautiful family hotel and restaurant .We came a few years ago and found it very comfortable but now with the renovations that took place in 2020 it’s really an amazing place where to spend an holiday . Mountain / Modern decorated rooms with all the comforts ,even table and chairs on the balconies ,and amazing pool and spa ,you can also book a massage .For me the highlight was the wonderfully decorated ,modern rustic restaurant and the special fresh and also creative at times food . Copious dishes arrived at our table without a long wait ,dishes beautifully presented and full of fresh ingredients from the area .The breakfast was superb ,you can make your own hot drinks or a fresh juice,freshly baked desserts and breads that go with cheeses of the area or cold cuts ,yogurts and crème caramel … On top of all a the exquisite kindness of the owners and everyone who works in this real gem .

I love this authentic hotel, family-owned, nicely renovated, good location and has excellent service. The spa area is nice, and the breakfast is just perfect. I love the two different types of restaurants and have never been disappointed

If you are an experienced traveler you know very well what 3, 4or 5 stars means. This hotel is not a 4 stars as it fails at 2 major points as far as hospitality: - the service is very poor: empty reception, the personnel( even the lady owner) improperly dressed for their function, and the ATTITUDE is unbelievably RUDE. It was my first time in my life when a waiter thrown me the dish and the cutlery. I asked to see the owner and she refused to come to discuss. When i met her at the reception and i asked if we can speak in English she “ executed” me with a definite NO. And then, while passing by the waitresses who got mad at me , they mocked me … Of course, it is my mistake because i have not understood French. But, at no moment i was rude , on the contrary. - the room: the size is not the problem ( we are in France!). The lack if proper 4 stars amenities as missing: no minibar, no complementary water, no coffee machine, no body lotion & hair conditioner. The towels are very used. The no door bathroom has no logic both as functionality or design! The room is quite poor as design , but the bathroom is vey large and it seems that belongs to another hotel room. The pillow are too high and square (60x60) - a no go for hotels. The guests who are able& willing to pay +250 euro/ night have better& nicer personal houses. They appreciate more THE SERVICE. If this does not raise to the expected level…

we have spent a fantastic weekend at the hotel. everything was perfect.hotel rooms, wellness centre, restaurants, food and wines selection, services. a place which we shall remember and definitely come back again

Clean rooms, great location, the hotel offers a very pleasant stay next to nature. The hotel has the most amazing restaurant too with really exceptional food so 100% recommended if you are in the area.

Toujours un plaisir de séjourner chez la famille Trincaz, des professionnels de l'hôtellerie familiale et de qualité. La cuisine est savoureuse, le cadre montagnard chic et la décoration soignée, les piscines et le spa sont très agréables, c'est un dix sur dix pour cet établissement !

Superbe hôtel et cuisine au top ! La déco typique est très bien agencée sans être surchargée. Les repas de la demi pension dignes d'un resto étoilé ! Gentillesse et dévouement de tout le personnel. Grande piscine. Emplacement, places de parking, calme... Superbe séjour!

Après plus de 15 ans de vacances de ski en France et en Suisse, je n’ai encore jamais séjourné dans un hôtel comme ‘Les Gentianettes’. Des repas incroyables (délicieux et copieux, un réel plaisir!), du personnel très cordial, des très belles chambres, un service impeccable,… Malgré le fait qu’il n’est presque pas possible d’aller aux stations de ski à pied (max. 15 minutes en voiture, l’hôtel offre même une navette ski bus), je crois qu’il n’y a pas de meilleur hôtel dans les environs! Félicitations à toute l’équipe!
