A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful team of staff. Can’t recommend their names but everyone was attentive to our needs and requests.
The rooms are in three or four, detached houses located next to each other, giving it a cosy, private resort-like place. There s small pools with lounges which is perfect for those who want to laze around.
Location is away from the centre, but it works if you like it this way. Bolt rides are cheap, so this wasn’t a problem to go and return from the centre.

Beautiful hotel, HORRIBLE staff. The minute I walked in the door they were rude and had an attitude. When I walked in no one was at the desk. Rang the bell for the attendant and she came out with a nasty attitude. I told her I was there to check in and she rolled her eyes and said "everyone is checking in at once". No warm attitudes with anyone at the front desk. Owner even had an attitude. I would love to say I would come back but definitely will give this one a miss in the future. I suggest customer service for the entire staff...including the owner.

Solar de Mos is a lovely, small, family run hotel. It is in a quiet location and takes about 20 minutes to walk or a 5 minute taxi ride into Lagos old town. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast has enough choice to satisfy everyone. An additional coffee machine would be beneficial at busy times. There is a quiet outdoor pool area with plenty of sun beds. There are a few restaurants in the surrounding area but Lagos old town has enough for a different one every day of the year. We will definitely be returning to the Solar de Mos in the future. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one.

Originally booked for 2 nights, we stayed 6. We were in the main building, 103 with a view of the pool. Room was comfortable and included a fridge. Shower only, no tub. Bed was nice and firm. Small balcony with table and 3 chairs. Breakfast buffet was fine. 5 minute walk to good grocery store, 6 minutes to a dive bar and 10 minutes to an excelkent Indian restaurant. But the key to this hotel's warm and welcoming feeling is the staff. Rita, Carla, the granola lady, George (and his twin brother George) were phenomenal. They are genuinely interested in ensuring you have a great time during your trip. Can't say enough about this place as you can see. I will remember this place and the people for a long time.

This is our third stay at Solar de Mos, although due to Covid and my partner’s ill health we haven’t been back for a while. We missed it. Why is that…well it offers a friendly, relaxing environment, not too far, but far enough away, from the bustle of the town centre. The new wings offer excellent quality rooms which are well kept and very clean. And parking is easy outside in the side street. There is a small bar if one wants a night-cap after a dinner down town and the breakfast offers a selection including some hot items, which is fine in the climate. All of that is good but it wouldn’t make for a happy holiday if the staff weren’t friendly. And that is where Solar de Mos excels. From check-in to check-out everyone was kind and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble, and it’s the main reason we will continue to come here when next in Lagos. Thanks for making it a happy holiday. Obrigado.

A very clean and friendly hotel, in a quiet area. The gardens are well kept and lovely. Nice pool . Breakfast was all you could want, very nice food. All the staff were helpful and kind. 20mins walk to the shops. 5 euro taxi drive to the lovely marina area, which has plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommend

Located in a residential area a 20 minute walk from the town centre and cliff top, this independent hotel provides charm, comfort and all at at a reasonable price. The buffet breakfast included an excellent choice of cooked and cold items that set you for the day ahead, and cooked snacks were also available at other times of the day. Our room with balcony was bright, comfortable and well-furnished. Reception staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. All considered we had a very enjoyable personal experience at a reasonable price.

Rather more difficult to find than I thought, but a friendly Supermarket a short distance away helped. A very nice Hotel, I parked right outside. I agree with the positive things said here. The staff were excellent, room very good and Bar/pool area splendid, (after hot biking day). Easy ride/walk into town (Lagos). Loved it. Really nice staff and clean. Would I return? Yes and book direct.

Attention to detail is the strenght of this small hotel. The staff is extra kind and welcoming, everything looks very clean and smell good. Lovely pool with free towels (many other hotels charge for towel rental), great breakfast served by the pool. Rainforest shower was great! The only disappointment was the lack of dairy free options at brrakfast, and the coffee machine is not the best (expresso is bad). 100% recommended
