I wanted to spend a relaxing Memorial Day weekend with my wife and my newborn baby, the first room I was given (room 219) was right next to the laundry so the whole floor and walls were shaking heavily from 7AM until 11PM with a nice view on the busy and noisy parking lot, I don’t even know why they put people in there to be honest. They refused to refund me and they didn’t have other free rooms at all and sadly there were no other options around, being 5 hours drive away from home at 6PM with an infant baby I didn’t have other choice but to stay and suffer. The next day after complaining for the whole time and while I was one step to just give up and going back home they managed to switch me to another room around 4PM and that room was perfect, sadly my vacation was anyway already compromised but at least I had half a day of what I expected. The personnel after lying to me for a whole day apologised for the inconvenience and didn’t make me pay the hotel fee for one day (35$ against the 528$ I paid in total) which was better than nothing but in a respectable resort that should have been a full refund for the day and a half that we had to waste in a shaky torture chamber.
Safe to say that I will not going back there, if I’m spending my money and my free time in a resort I expect to relax, not having to argue with the front desk for two days to obtain a humane accommodation.
Note for *******: there should be some support and a way to be reimbursed if the situation is that bad
