Lakeview Tekapo is located in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve. Mount Cook National Park is a 1-hour drive away. Free off-street parking is provided. Each of these luxury suites enjoy absolute and uninterrupted views of Lake Tekapo, the Southern Alps and the lake’s surrounding mountain ranges. Each of the 3 studios have a sky window for stargazing from your bed, and an en suite bathroom including a shower, heater, underfloor heating, toiletries and a hair dryer. Each suite at Lakeview Tekapo also includes a lounge with quality furnishings and 2 LCD TVs with cable channels and Netflix on demand. Suites have a dining table and chairs, and well equipped kitchen facilities including a refrigerator, microwave, a small bench top oven, electric frying pan, kettle, toaster, and kitchenware. The main house comprises of 2 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, a spacious living room and full kitchen. Absolutely beautiful The studio is such a homely space with convenience at the forefront. It is clean and it is very comfortable. The view was to die for. A very peaceful stay. I really enjoyed staying here. The only downfall I would say is when we turned on the heat pump it made this most awful smell. We let it run for about half an hour thinking it would stop it did not. Because it was quite late when we turned it on we didn’t want to call the number available so instead did in the morning. The lady was quite rude to my mother saying we should have called last night. However previously anything to do with the booking Vickie had been amazing. Apart from that it would of been a 10/10 stay

The view from the room is superb, amazing! The room itself impeccably appointed, except for the microwave, no user manual, being of a very different kind to the usual. 10/10 for cleanliness, electronic gadgets, comfort, bathroom, etc. Caveat: no sound privacy, walls are so thin that one can hear conversations and TV from the adjacent rooms, therefore not suitable for honeymooners.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at this complex. The amenities were great, view was stunning and only a short drive to restaurants and lake. The only improvement we’d like to see is the bed. We are both lighter framed adults and we sank in the bed. It was not comfortable unfortunately. It’s been like this at most hotels in our travels across the South Island.

The checkin process was rather simple but we found not meeting the owners a little less personable. It was decorated very tastefully and the touches made it interesting too. The bed was sloping to the middle though so it needs an update but does have a skylight over it which is a memorable addition. All the amenities and kitchen content was excellent. The view was beautiful with Lake Tekapo being across 2 roads in front of you. I think there needs to be a little hedge or similar in front of the terrace as it sits quite directly onto the footpath and road. We also think that having absolutely no chance of a late checkout is a bit disappointing as even a half an hour extension would make a big difference to some travellers. 10am is quite a rush for some.

Beautiful room and well equipped with great views overlooking the lake. Quiet area, but lots of people out walking past the units which did invade the privacy aspects of staying there if you were sitting outside your unit. However, still enjoyed staying here. Loved the check in with a pin number.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation and great value for money. The location was superb with an uninterrupted view of Lake Tekapo. Clean, warm (it snowed while we were staying), comfortable and well appointed. Loved the skylight window above the bed for stargazing. Highly recommended and would stay there again.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Lakeview Tekapo, in fact one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in NZ. Arrived on a cold, windy, rainy day and it was great to get into a room where they had already taken the time to put the heat pump on - very grateful. The view is outstanding, the quality of the room and cleanliness was amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Nous avons loué le logement le plus grand (2 chambres, 2 salles de bains, cuisine complète et grand salon) pour une surface de 150m2 environ. L’aménagement est au top avec un matériel de grande qualité. Vu sur le lac. Tout est parfait !!! Je recommande sans hésitation ce logement.
