Seevital Hotel

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights for business trip. The location is perfect, some steps from the lake. We arrived at 21:10 and asked if we can eat anything in the hotel, but understandly the reasturant was closed. We asked if there is any open restaurant nearby but the lady at the reception said, everything is closed. After parking our car, we were surprised that some restaurant is still open, so the information in the hotel was wrong. The room was OK for the first glampse, but the carpet was fully wet around the bed. On the second day we went to the hotel restaurant to have some dinner but it turned out that there is an event (still with some empty tables around). We asked to eat some very light soup or so, but we were refused in an arrogant and unpolite way: "if we have problem, go to the reception to reclaim". I am convinced that is not the way of communication with any of the guests. So we went to the neighbour hotel to have a great dinner. Summary: never again to that hotel

It was very nice, hotel persons very friendly, food was absolutely great. As we had the room to the street, it was loud by traffic early in the morning. Trucks were delivering stuff at 7 am. But the rest was really good.

Nice hotel with good breakfast. Common areas could be modernised and perhaps a little cleaner. The Michelin starred restaurant is quite fully booked so book in advance!

Stayed for 5 days with our toddler and the hotel couldn’t have been better! Attentive staff, good sized rooms with air conditioning, modern interior and great location. This will be our place to stay when we’re back regularly.

Beautiful location! Right on the lake. Professional and helpful front desk staff. Excellent breakfast. Housekeeping was very reluctant to provide bathroom toiletries and we had to ask them to replenish them. Very clean room, comfortable bed and linens. WE enjoyed the sauna facility. WE very much enjoyed our stay! We will recommend your hotel to our friends and family. Thank you!

The hotel is in the town centre by the lake edge and accessible by car for (un)loading (then park car in council underground parking nearby). The hotel gave us a parking permit which cost €7·50 per day, although you can pay in the car park, which is probably the better option if you are driving around all day (which you would be mad to do given the excellent train and bus public transport). The hotel looks quite unassuming in comparison to local architecture. Our room 201 was ample in size with view to town. Room has a hallway, then walk past sink and wardrobe, enclosed lavatory and enclosed shower, into bedroom part. The mattresses were very comfortable, effective air-conditioning, insect screen on windows that open inwards, very quiet. The reception area is small, unlike the spa area which is generous in size, with two saunas (the one with lake view far too hot for me) but the smaller aroma sauna was just right (think Goldilocks). Water and tea available for free and ample rest area. Good free wi-fi connection everywhere. The breakfast choice was vast and good quality, although the scrambled egg didn't convince me on that score. Choice of sitting indoors or out (with the annoying wasps). Would wasp traps that I have seen in UK have made a difference? Had one dinner there and the food was very good. Sadly, did not have low alcohol wine or no alcohol wine available with meal, so had to stick to boring water. Service was good, although I was baffled why waiters were not wearing a neck tie with their suit. There is a high demand for cycle hire, so book in advance. Also have moped hire available. It is likely we will return to Langenargen again and we will stay here again, but this time leave the car put and use the excellent public transport (which was free for us tourists) to visit nearby towns, which were stunning in beauty and cleanliness.

Das Hotel Seevital, mit der tollen Lage und dem nicht sehr günstigen Preis konnte leider meine/unsere Erwartungen in den grundsätzlichen Bereichen nicht erfüllen. Bei unserer Ankunft um 17:30 Uhr war das schön gelegene Zimmer noch kühl, was uns in anderen Hotels logischer Weise auch erwarteten kann. Da im Büchlein "Hotelablauf" auch keine Bedienungsanleitung für eine Heizung/Lüftung zu finden war haben wir die Heizung auf "max." gestellt, was dann für DIESE bedeutete, den Lüfter auch auf maximaler Leistung zu fahren..!..!.. Meine Hoffnung, dass nach dem Erreichen der eingestellten Temperatur diese Drehzahl reduziert und/oder eingestellt wird, hat sich dann aber leider nicht erfüllt.. Bei der Lautstärke der Lüftung war auch kein Fernsehabend möglich, was von uns zu verschmerzen und auch nicht überbewertet wird..!..! Ärgerlich war jedoch dann, dass nach dem "Händischen" abschalten des Lüfters das Zimmer auf gefühlte MINUS Grade ausgekühlte und die Nacht nur mit "ALLEN" Decken und Kleidern zu bewältigen war..!..!.. Es erübrigt sich, zu erwähnen, dass das Duschen ausgefallen ist. Am nächsten Morgen, innerlich hatten wir bereits gepackt, wurde uns als upgrade eine Junior Suite angeboten die wir dann nach Besichtigung und nach dem perfekten Frühstück auch angenommen haben.. Das Zimmer war dann auch warm und perfekt...bis mich der schleifende Lüfter beim einschalten um 3:48 Uhr geweckt hat.. nicht soooo tragisch, ich wäre auch so aufgewacht...jedoch erst um 6:00 Uhr..!..! Ich möchte jedoch auf folgendes hinweisen, das gesamte Personal (ohne Ausnahme) ist besonders hilfsbereit, höflich und zuvorkommend, Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team, hiermit einzuschließen ist das gesamte Küchenteam, das uns mit dem Frühstück und an den "Beiden Abenden" mit hervorragendem Essen sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat, auch hier waren wir rundum sehr zu frieden. Tolle Lage direkt am See. Liebevoller Service. Von der ersten Minute an fühlt man sich sehr willkomen. Dazu gibt es ein grandioses Menü im SEO Restaurant (1 Michelin Stern). Schöner Wellnessbereich inkl. finnischer Sauna mit Blick auf den See.
