Hotel is budget as advertised. Rooms are dated, in areas parts of the corridors are badly in need of refurb and some rooms in eye shot would benefit from a good tidy up. However, the hosts are friendly and welcoming to both humans and dogs. The bed was well made up and comfortable. Could do with better pillows. Some toiletries provided. The breakfast was huge - black pudding, haggis, bacon, sausage, beans, egg, tomatoes, toast, butter and tea or coffee. Dogs are welcome to sit with you whilst you eat but not in the restaurant which is fair and considerate to other residents. They serve a burger/ panini menu in the bar which is very reasonably priced. Good French fries served with the burgers.
