Playitas Hotel - Sports Resort

Firstly the hotel rooms are on a hill. The “inclinator” to get to them is broken…to be mended soon but it’s been broken for over 9 months. There are 144 stairs and hills in between to get to blocks 6&7. It’s a challenge. The resort answer is a shuttle which takes you up,if you’re lucky &it’s not busy but never available to bring you down. Anyone with a mobility issue will be stranded. Rooms refurbished, meaning sofas removed & replaced with plastic chairs so nowhere to sit or relax. Rooms are basic & bed’s uncomfortable Resort looking shabby, the hotel pool has black mould everywhere which is jet washed into the water regularly. Gym equipment very old especially WOD box. No water available in gyms, so have to buy in on site over priced shop. Restaurant used to be great but Food choices drastically reduced and not as healthy as expected. Staff fantastic! Bar staff, restaurant staff and room staff all awesome…. But the hotel manager is absolutely appalling. Rude beyond description, like a smiling assassin and seen to be aggressive to anyone asking for basic help. How this woman was promoted from aparthotel manager is incomprehensible. Serious customer care training is required. Do not recommend… stay elsewhere

Our 2nd trip to Playitas Resort and definitely not the last time. All expectations were undoubtedly met. The hotel was absolutely top notch and the staff were as always very sweet and hospitable. The large breakfast buffet was worth getting up for every morning. The pool at the hotel was lovely, sun loungers for everyone and pool towels for a deposit. Various sports activities for children and adults. We have stayed in aparthotel and hotel. Next time villa with pool😁

Our second visit to Playitas resort. And this one even better than the first one, which hardly seemed possible! Great place! Sublime hospitality and service, proud staff who never failed an opportunity for a smile whilst working tirelessly ensuring our stay was a fantastic experience. Food and drinks top class, breakfast to die for and facilities offering the one thing that Playitas does so well: Great relaxing vacation under the Palms with the unique possibility to participate in almost any sport imaginable. For all levels. Our daughter of 11 years had the most fantastic time as well, participating, competing, swimming, and generally having the time of her life. Btw. The WiFi is fantastic as well. We will definitely be back!

I am a regular visitor to Las Playitas because it's a great place to pursue a variety of sports activities in one well-kept location. Although there are ample locations to simply relax at Playitas, there are cheaper resorts on Fuerteventura if all you want to do is relax and sunbathe. One thing I would recommend is to really explore the resort. It was only this year that I discovered Playitas had its own Scuba Diving Centre (run by Deep Blue Diving). This is really well run and a great place for beginners and experienced divers alike. I'm not sure why Playitas don't promote it more. In summary, a great place for an active holiday.

We have spent a rainy week in Fuerteventura, so thanks to Playitas we still had a good moment there. We were not resident but we came to swim every day in their lovely Olympic pool. It save our holidays ! It is quite expensive for an hour (8€/pers) but it’s an outdoor swimming pool and the place is nice !

Excellent choice of location for a family who wants an active but also relaxing holiday. There is something for all ages! There are so many choices and well organized activities. Weather is very stable throughout the year. We can highly recommend this place!!

Fantastic stay, we will be back soon. The site has recently been refurbished and seemed brand new throughout the complex. Excellent facilities and the 50m pool is heated and love that we were able to book lanes. Room very pleasant and ok size. Buffett was fantastic and lots of choice for both veggies and meat eaters The Thai chef needs an award as fantastic food and worked her socks off.. special thanks to our server Jazmine and frida who were fantastic in the restaurant. Like all canaries breakfast coffee, it was not great and no coffee machine or cafeteria in room so make sure you pack something to brew coffee with if you like coffee (which is sold in hotel shop). You can buy a decent espresso from bar but not open till 11. Overall we loved our stay so a huge THANK YOU to all staff.

Lovely resort with a bit of everything - sand, sun, mountains, nice people, friendly cats, an awesome sports program, lots of work out facilities, etc. We stayed in the Annex section and you get what you pay for, the apartments might not be the most maintained or exclusive ones, but it's still a cheaper option to the hotel and the villas. The minimercado at the resort is quite expensive compared to the local shops, like Spar, and don't waste your money on the dinner buffet when you can spend them at the local restaurants, but the breakfast buffet is quite popular!

I have stayed at the resort many times.I just love the whole experience.The food I believe is exceptional.A wide,healthy choice to please all tastes.Apartments,hotel and villas are all excellent and the staff are very friendly.My brother is Andrew Mccorquodale,like me a proud Scotsman, who has worked at Las Playitas for many years now. We had great fun taking part in his fabulous aqua show.Amazing.It is a beautiful island and I believe nearby Gran Tarajal and the area of Las Playitas represent the very best it has to offer.Authentic and classy,its a world away from the more commercial resorts on the island.In summary,its the best week of our year, every year.
