Positives first…This is a great KOA! It’s clean, well managed, has a wonderful feel! Mature trees, fire bowls, spots with great patios and patios. We stayed in #70. These specific spots in the center across from the cabins are a little tight, but they work just fine for what we needed! Bathroom/showers are clean and we always saw someone doing cleaning or maintenance. The office staff are friendly and very helpful!! Great store next door, walking bridge over to Olympic swimming pool and walking distance to food and shops, mineral baths and tubing. Our kids loved riding bikes and playing in the water. The store also has just about everything you need. Firewood is expensive, bring your own! Now the not so great! This isn’t the fault of the KOA, but if you’re looking for quiet, this isn’t it in the evening times. Lava has a rooftop bar way up the road, but you can hear every song, every laugh and it goes till around 12:30am/1am on weekends. And then there's the freight 🚂! One night we counted the train horns of 6 every hour on the hour! They incessantly blare their horns and the screeching of the tracks eek! 😬 we also paid 14.99 for premium WiFi that never worked even with our camper WiFi ranger! Won’t use the free one, it works for the most part! Short of the noise and people cutting through empty spots this KOA was delightful. We’d satay here again and again, we will just bring ear plugs next time! I’d also say the prices are decent, though I’ve heard from some the prices have been raised. Worked well for us! Enjoyed our time!
