We spent an overnight here and were very happy with our choice. When we arrived, there wasn't anyone at reception, but we called the number on the front door and were quickly let in; we just needed a key code. Our room, number 3, was very spacious and had a great view over the square and Le Volcan, the landmark theater designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. The room was very quiet and comfortable, with a firm bed and good linens. We were fortunate to chat with the hotel's proprietor Marieka at The Architect, the hotel's sister restaurant on the waterfront, a lovely spot for a casual meal or beverage. With their hotel and restaurant, Marieke and her husband Damian are doing a really great job as hospitality ambassadors in Le Havre, and we recommend them to anyone who wants to enjoy an authentic experience in this intriguing and historic French port on the English Channel.
