Friendly staff especially at the reception. The room outdated but clean and spacious enough, there’s even a walk-in closet. Lack coffee and tea maker in the room as well as slippers, you have extra to ask to borrow them. The bed sheets are not breathable and the pillows were not comfortable. We were assigned to the farthest room, maybe because we were booking @ booking. com but the panoramic view was nice. The Spa was good but small and crowded. The outside was the best part, it’s panoramic is top. Breakfast and dinner were good. Great variety of cold cuts, cheese and fruits t breakfast and eggs are fresh made to ordered you like. Overall, it’s a nice place to unwind and spend a relaxing weekend.

Fabulous location. A very warm welcome. We only spent one night, but we had dinner which was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive. We didn’t have time to use the spa, but did swim before breakfast. The pool was clean and warm. We didn’t try the outdoor pool as it was raining. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious in a warm and quiet dining area. Our room was large, clean, separate seating lounge area, good sized balcony (beautiful views across the valley) and a separate dressing area with lots of hanging space for clothes. The bathroom was ok but the shower cubicle needs an update and repair. The bed was two singles pushed together. The whole hotel is quiet, clean but probably needed a general update, carpets looked worn.

Was our first visit To the Schwarz Wald and decided for a hotel with outside pool, was going to be excellent weather. Arrived at the hotel where we immediately received a welcome drink and a small guided tour. Young staff but well trained and very friendly. Room was nice, ground floor, garden view with outside terrace including seats. Some further highlights: Amazing breakfast with large variety of fresh fruits, cheese, eggs all you can eat, heated outside pool must cost a fortune to heath, dinner was brilliant, compliments to the cook and team, older Turkish waiter is also very friendly. Well all staff is friendly, surely the lady in charge in restaurant but also the lady on the reception, thanks for coffee at 7.30 in the morning. Evening menu always nicely balanced. Lowlights, noting I can think off. Extremely nice place.

This is a very nice hotel as far as location, views, setting, interior decoration, installations, pools, restaurant, friendly staff, bar, service, parking lot and amenities are concerned. It is expensive, this is why we find the following two aspects fatal for our holiday experience: - Every experienced hotel manager should know that arriving travelers want to be in their room as quickly as possible, certainly if they have checked in in advance. That is why they check in in advance. In this hotel, some self-proclaimed expert must have decided that arriving guests should wait in the bar for 35-40 minutes (ok, with a ‘welcome’ drink) until the group is big enough to offer them a tour of the hotel. This is just such a big mistake. Make sure everything is signposted in due order, let clients come down to the bar as soon as they are settled in, offer all the guests a free tour half an hour before dinner etc: enough solutions to think about. But I have never been so frustrated in my entire life when staff refused to give us the key to our room upon arrival for this stupid reason. - Secondly, a dinner service that takes two hours might be fine the first night, but after three days it gets very boring. Especially when you see that another table that had arrived half an hour later is being served fifteen minutes earlier than your own table. Second reason that made me infuriated. Two reasons for me to never visit this hotel again, despite its many good qualities. Some other aspects amenable to improvement are: - There is no air conditioning in this hoteL Very important for clients to know in advance. - The wifi was very weak and not really functional. - The electric charger for vehicles in extremely slow. - The dinner choice has to be given during breakfast. How should I know (and remember!) what I want to eat in the evening?

Der Empfang war freundlich und wir bekamen ein Getränk und eine Hotelführung und wurden auf das Zimmer begleitet. Wir sollten das Gepäck an der Rezeption stehen lassen und waren danach im Zimmer ohne Gepäck, das war etwas seltsam und erst als wir anriefen, hieß es wir sollen unser Gepäck selbst abholen. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer mit der Terrasse ist sehr schön, der Boden und die Zimmerausstattung waren jedoch nicht identisch mit den Fotos und viel älter. Der Wellness Bereich ist schön und großzügig gestaltet, das Wasser vom Innenpool war aber viel zu kalt und sicher nicht 31 Grad warm. Das Abendessen war leider auch sehr lieblos angerichtet und der Hauptgang ungenießbar (versalzen) das Dessert schmeckte auch sehr künstlich. Dies haben wir auch so rückgemeldet. Die Mitarbeiter im Service waren freundlich, einige an der Rezeption leider weniger und machten auf mich einen überforderten und gestressten Eindruck. Das was mich aber am Meisten störte war, als mein Mann medizinische Hilfe benötigte, da es ihm schlecht ging; er schlecht Luft bekam und ein Stechen in der Brust hatte und ich bei der Rezeption anrief, mir gesagt wurde ich solle doch selber einen Arzt googeln sie hätten kein Notfallkonzept. Nach mehrmaligen Bitten hat sie mir dann eine Adresse gegeben und ich konnte anrufen. Ich habe mich nicht sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und ich erwarte in einem Hotel eine bessere Unterstützung für Notfälle. Wir mussten dann früher abreisen, da wir länger in der Klinik bleiben mussten.Schade, wir hatten uns sehr gefreut, aber in dieses Hotel kommen wir sicherlich nicht noch einmal.

Hôtel très bien situé,au calme près de la forêt avec une vue à 360° sur les Alpes.Petit déjeuner et dîner très copieux et très bons! Chambre correcte, déco vieillotte à revoir.Matelas confortables.Personnel aux petits soins ( boisson de bienvenue offerte) Pour le côté négatif, Prévoir des fenêtres en oscillo- battant pour pouvoir aérer un peu la chambre ( nous étions au RDC) Parking non couvert,suggestion : mettre des panneaux solaires pour économiser l'énergie)La déco très vieillotte est à revoir notamment pour la grande salle à manger,manque le côté cosy de la Forêt Noire avec du bois. Un dernier point négatif : la carafe d'eau du robinet 4,50 euros

Super hôtel, notre chambre était superbe, spacieuse avec vu sur la vallée. L'accueil et les serveuses très chaleureuses. Le spa et les piscines sont sympa . Les repas devraient être un peu moins saler.

Wir hatten das Romantik-Day gebucht. Das Essen sowie die Zimmerdekoration waren hervoragend. Ebenso der geheizte Aussenpool war sehr toll. Leider war der für uns reservierte Innenpool nicht so romantisch, der Kamin hat nicht gebrannt und die wenigen angzündeten Kerzen brachten auch nicht das romantische rüber. Auch wurde richtig lieblos der Sekt auf ein Tischchen gestellt und man musste ständig aus dem Wasser um überhaupt einen Schluck zu geniessen. Dabei gibt es ein Stüropor auf den man den Sekt stellen kann und der auch im Wasser schwimmt. Noch eine kleine Anmerkung! Die Daten der jeweiligen Gäste sind ja vorhanden, mein Mann hatte Geburtstag, es wäre sehr zuvorkommnd gewesen, man hätte an der Reception eine Gratulation ausgesprochen, was sicherlich für den jweiligen Geburtstags-Gast das Gefühl der Anerkennung gäbe. Schade war auch, dass wir die gemütliche Kaminlounge mit dem grossen offenen Kamin am Abend nicht benutzen konnten. Im Hotelprospekt wird die Kaminlounge in den kälteren Tagen (November waren wir da) als heimelige, warme Lounge publiziert.

Top Lokation, super Essen, toller Wellnessbereich und super Service. Das Hotel liegt auf einer Anhöhe mit tollem Blick über Hochschwarzwald Richtung Alpen in der Nähe vom Titisee. Von dort gehen viele Wanderwege aus und befinden sich auch viele andere Freizeitmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe.
