Went for a dinner and stayed over so we could all have a drink or two. Chap who checked us in (and also worked behind the bar and served) was EXCELLENT. Rooms comfy and no noise despite looking out over the road (it is a small village). Food excellent – all courses. Breakfast excellent as well (served by same good chap so he obviously works long hours). Would recommend.

This was our first visit. We came on a recommendation from friends and were not disappointed. All four of us enjoyed an excellent meal. Portion sizes just right - we were advised 2 courses might be enough and we found this just right. Beautifully presented and delicious classics with an original twist, a pleasant light airy dining environment and kind, friendly, informative service. We will definitely visit this restaurant again and would highly recommend.

We were away for a long weekend and ended up staying a 5 minute walk from the Eagle Tavern. We went twice during our visit because the food and service were so fantastic. The Sunday roast was the best I can remember. The team really go out of their way to make your meal special. Really outstanding.
