Andromeda Resort

The previous reviews say it all. This is a fabulous place to stay - great hospitality, great views, clean and spacious room with kitchen and balcony, great breakfast. I loved it. The location is perfect as you can walk down stairs to Chora and then the port.

It’s the fifth time we visit Andromeda resort and we will keep coming back. This hotel is a real gem in the island of Astipalia. We always take the same room with a beautiful view over the town and the castle. The room is always spotless clean, with a window right in front of the bed, which allows the nice breeze to come in every night, no need to turn on the AC at all. The bed has a very comfortable mattress. The amenities are amazing with everything that someone needs to be comfortable. The breakfast is a state of the art, every day something special prepared by the cook, with fresh Greek yogurt, lots of fruits, local Greek products, honey, and every day freshly made omelette. But above all we keep coming back because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the owner and the staff, who welcome us back us family. I can’t say enough to recommend this place for your summer holidays.

The room was extremely cozy. We loved having a charming balcony with a breathtaking view of Chora; it was like a dream to sit outside and gaze at the castle and sunrise. Our host, Rena, was exceptional. She met us at the port, offered advice on the island's best beaches, helped us arrange a car rental, and was always on hand. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of options that varied daily, including cheese pies, cakes, omelets, Greek delicacies, and more. Having such a wonderful host made the experience so special… when we left she gave us a gift: local honey and local sea salt! Thank you Rena! I will definitely be back at Andromeda Resort next time I come to Astypalaia.

This is a magnificent establishment ran by a fantastic lady (Mrs Rena) and her family. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, the room was elegant and comfortable, daily cleaned by a staff of excellent ladies, the breakfast was homemade and changing every day. One of the best stays we had ever in Greece! If we go again to Astypalaia, we will definitely stay in Andromeda. Thank you Mrs Rena!

The hospitality was excellent. , breakfast was handmade and. delicious, the view was terrific and the whole vacation was overall successful! I would definitely recommend the hotel and food to everyone for their vacation.

WE HAD A STAY OF THREE EXCEPTIONAL DAYS IN ANDROMEDA RESORT. THE OWNER (MRS RENA) WELCOMED US AT THE AIRPORT EARLY IN THE MORNING AND TRANSFERRED US TO THE RESORT, WHICH WAS SO CONVENIENT. THE RESORT IS IN THE BEST LOCATION OF CHORA WITH THE BEST VIEW YOU CAN FIND. IT IS A BLOCK OF THREE BUILDINGS WHICH IS VERY ELEGANTLY DECORATED AND EXCELLENT MAINTAINED. THE ROOM WAS VERY SPACIOUS EQUIPPED WITH THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF AMENITIES AND CLEANED EVERY DAY. THE BREAKFAST WAS RICH WITH HIGH QUALITY HOME MADE PRODUCTS , LIKE IF YOUR MOTHER HAVE PREPARED IT. DONT LOOK FOR ANYWHERE ELSE TO STAY IN ASTYPALAIA. IS THE BEST PLACE THATS WHY I WILL VISIT SOON....

We loved our stay at Andromeda, the room are spacious and clean but the best thing is the view of the Chora from a lovely balcony. We stayed at Corona at the top floor - highly recommended. We hired a car and we parked it just outside our room. To reach the Chora there is a staircase that from the hotel takes you straight there. One of the best thing of Andromeda is the hospitality from the owner Irini. She made us feel very welcome and was always happy to help with anything we needed. She cooked us an amazing breakfast every morning - every day something different and delicious. If was more a lunch than a breakfast! She picked up from airport and took us back there and waited with us until we were sure the plane was there. Thank you so much Irini! We highly recommend Andromeda Resort.

Μερικές φορές όσα βλέπουμε και διαβάζουμε online τα αμφισβητούμε. Σε αυτό το κατάλυμα από την πρώτη κιόλας ώρα που φτάσαμε στο δωμάτιο ξημερώματα (με τις κατατοπιστικές οδηγίες της κ. Ρένας, διότι είχαμε δικό μας όχημα) ξεπέρασε τις προσδοκίες μας. Όχι μόνο εσωτερικά, αλλά και οι εξωτερικοί χώροι ήταν τόσο προσεγμένοι, καθαροί, όμορφοι και καλοσυντριμμένοι που καταλαβαίνεις αμέσως το μεράκι του ιδιοκτήτη και όλης της ομάδας που υπάρχει από πίσω. Το δωμάτιο δε πεντακάθαρο, ευρύχωρο, στρωμένο το κρεβατάκι του παιδιού, με όλες τις ανέσεις. Ψυγείο, κουζινάκι, συσκευές για καφέ, ζάχαρη, γαλατάκια, καφέ και υπέροχα αναψυκτικά για το welcome, άνετο μπάνιο με τα απαραίτητα, μεγάλο και άνετο κρεβάτι που ξυπνούσες ξεκούραστος. Μεγάλη ντουλάπα με χρηματοκιβώτιο που δεν το χρησιμοποιήσαμε γιατί νιώθαμε μεγάλη ασφάλεια, κρεμάστρες, μπουρνουζάκια και παντόφλες. Υπήρχε καθημερινή καθαριότητα του δωματίου με φρέσκες πετσετούλες! Και φυσικά με ένα φανταστικό πρωινό με τοπικά προϊόντα (τυριά, μέλι), που κάθε μέρα υπήρχε και μια διαφορετική έκπληξη από πίτες και γλυκά. Και φυσικά με ότι καφέ επιθυμούσες και το καλύτερο freddo espresso που θα μπορούσαμε να είχαμε. Αυτοί οι φιλόξενοι άνθρωποι, η κ. Ρένα και η ομάδα της που είναι σαν οικογένεια γιατί συνεργαζόντουσαν τόσο αρμονικά, μας λείπουν κιόλας τόσο πολύ και έχουν περάσει μόνο λίγες ημέρες. Ευελπιστούμε να ξαναέρθουμε και να ξανανταμώσουμε γιατί φυσικά πάλι εσάς θα διαλέγαμε για την διαμονή μας με κλειστά μάτια. Υπέροχο νησί με φυσική και άγρια ομορφιά και υπέροχους φιλόξενους ανθρώπους. Σας ευχαριστούμε που δώσατε στις διακοπές μας μια νότα γαλήνης και ομορφιάς!

Lieber mehr Persönliches und Individuelles: Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön an Frau Irene/Κυρία Ρένα und ihr Team im Andromeda für Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, kaum übertreffbaren Service und unerschöpfliche Bereitschaft, unseren Aufenthalt auf Astypalaia mit an individuellen Interessen ausgerichteten Tipps und Arrangements anzureichern! (So zum Beispiel die Vermittlung an das kleine private volkskundliche Museum von Κυρία Πόπη.) Wir haben Anfang Juni 6 Tage im frisch und top renovierten Zimmer Galaxy gewohnt und es mit seinen schönen und originellen Einrichtungsideen sehr schätzen gelernt. Den schönen geschützten Balkon früh morgens zum Sonnenaufgang und spät abends mit Chora und Burg gegenüber und über uns den Sternenhimmel, wir haben ihn einfach genossen. Ebenso das überreichliche Frühstück mit täglich neuen und hausgemachten Spezialitäten im klimatisierten Buffetraum oder auf der Frühstücksterasse. Wir waren vom Hotel aus über die direkten Treppen hinunter in gut 3 Minuten auf der Platia mit den Windmühlen und empfehlenswerten Lokalen. Hier ist auch eine der Haltestellen für die kleinen Bestell-Sammelbusse zum Hafen und zu Stränden. Wir kannten Astypalaia bis dahin nur von Beschreibungen und fühlen uns im Nachhinein in unserer Entscheidung bestärkt, dass wir das Hotel auf dem der Burg gegenüber- und naheliegenden Hügel mit Blick auf Hafen, Windmühlen, Chora, Burg und natürlich auf das Meer mit einem Teil der kleineren Inseln gewählt haben. Gast zu sein bei Κυρία Ρένα im Andromeda war uns dann die 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand Pera Gialos oder mit Auto nach Livadi wert. Sehr, sehr gerne wieder!
