Mój pokój był trochę straszny. To był bardzo stary budynek z pięknym lobby. Może pomieścić dwie osoby, ale dla jednej osoby był trochę straszny. 111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111011

This is an old grand hotel. Great location an easy walk to many popular destinations. The room is huge with high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. Please know that this hotel is huge and you literally have to walk around the halls to find an elevator. The furniture in the rooms needs some updating and the flooring in front of the elevators on each floor desperately needs renovation but this property overall is a good value.

Unfortunately, didn't like the hotel at all. Rooms are unclean and dirty as if it hasn't been cleaned for years. The building is very old and most of the stuff is rusty and broken. Doors, windows and bathrooms were in moisture. Strange smell of mixed moisture and something else.Totally disliked this hotel and won't stay here any more.
Just have to note the location is really nice and just in center. That was the only reason why we decided to stay just one night.

For me this was excellent value for money to stay on a match day. The room was huge and I do like the old traditional look of the rooms with a huge bathroom along with substantial tea and coffee facilities. It is right in the city centre and although I couldn't check in early they were able to store my luggage securely while I wanderd around the great city

Was a bit worried after reading previous reviews but booked as it was the cheapest and nearest to Lime Street
Was very impressed with the building but did need a lot of updating to bring it back to its former glory
The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean but the furniture let it down and the beds had cheap mattresses on them but for the price it was great for one night
The bars were well run and the food was very reasonable and a credit to the chefs

What was once a hotel that many aspired to stay in, has now become a hotel that many should avoid! The room was tired, the bathroom dated by a number of decades with poor upkeep to many areas. This was extremely disappointing for a hotel that was indeed once held in high regard, but has sadly been left to crumble with little money, if any, having been spent on upkeep - there is certainly no modernisation! Would not stay here again and would certainly not recommend to anyone. Such a shame as I have wonderful memories of having stayed here in the '90s.
