The most spectacular venue on the river about 30mins drive up river from the falls. The whole experience is out of this world. Best room I have ever stayed in (“Tree House”). Wonderful staff. Great food and superb activities. We were looking after by our guide Brian throughout but whole team were great . Tranquility of the river side environment was stark contrast to the falls downriver and just a great place to relax This was the start of a Green Safari tour for us and just couldn’t have been better. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed in the Nut House. Our accomodation was private, quiet, totally comfortable with a great view. Our private pool was spotless. Food was very good with a nice selection of self serve items at breakfast, and our first evening dinner in our cottage included a personal performance by an a cappella men's choir. Superb! The staff including our personal valet Yvonne as well as all other staff were exceptional. We would especially like to mention Sula, an absolutely charming young woman who was a pleasure to speak with. Our river cruise with sundowner was a treat, excellent sunset after viewing the river hippos and crocs. The private dinner on the floating dock was a special treat. We took advantage of a village visit as well as a driving tour through the Livingstone market, which we would recommend to expand one's horizons beyond the typical 'bucket list' places. Visit Tongabezi, you won't be disappointed. and say 'Hi' to Sula!

Tongabezi Lodge is magical! A true paradise! Everything is amazing... the beautiful location, the super friendly and helpful staff (Edward, Mwila, Bruce and all the others), the gorgeous and very romantic Nut House (our room), the great excursions with Captain Ronald to the Victoria Falls and on the Zambezi River, the sunset experience, the delicious food... really exceptional! We miss everyone and cannot wait to go back! We can highly recommend Green Safaris.

This lodge is pure luxury from the time you step out the car. The staff are always there, yet not intrusive. The rooms are spacious and look out over the Zambezi river where Hippos and Crocodiles are ever present. There is a floating dining table for small intimate dinners as the sun sets. Staff are always on hand to book excursions- highly recommend the sunset and sunrise cruise - watch elephants take their morning dip, as hippos practice and demonstrate their swimming techniques , while crocodiles lay on rocks thinking of their next meal. Don’t miss a visit to Victoria Falls - such an experience! Highly recommend

An amazing property and experience with excellent management by Mwila. The overall attention to detail and excellent staff is not to be missed. It is not easy pulling off all of the service needs this staff does around a guest visit. I look forward to a return visit.

Wonderful lodge. Service and food were great and swimming in the Devil’s Pool was amazing! The accommodations are unique and each of our friends was thrilled with the different suites. They were spacious, comfortable and decor was really cool! A great kick off to a safari. Visiting the local school was also interesting and impressive. Boat rides on the Zambezi were nice and comfortable. Having sundowners at the island bar was also fun. Highly recommend this as a destination!

My husband and I spent 3 nights in one of the River Cottages. I had high expectations, and it did not disappoint! From the time we were welcomed at the airport, the service was great! The staff was very accommodating, made us feel welcome and made us feel special every day! Our butler, Moses and our Tour Guide Obie were awesome! The front desk staff genuinely welcomed us. We had massages one day on our deck. The massages were wonderful! The food was great. We took a sunset cruise with Obie, and when we returned, Moses had a nice, warm bubble bath waiting for us! Another day we returned from Victoria Falls, and Moses had a picnic with full bar set up on the lawn for us. We saw beautiful sunsets every evening! The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been more days there! Well done, Tongabezi Lodge!

Wonderful beautiful lodge!! Wonderful, kind, skilled and skilled staff! The food was excellent and they capably catered to my allergies! We stayed in a beautiful Tree House Room. We purchased some item from the gift shop and they successfully sent them to me in The United States. I would go back in a heartbeat! Highly Reccomend!

One of my best hotel stays ever! If you are traveling from Vic Falls it is easy to cross the border and the hotel will arrange the transportation for you. What i loved: - it has a gym!! especially as most lodges dont have one - The food is excellent and they cater to all healthy needs and dietary restrictions, including gluten free- you have to try the avocado mint ice cream! - The view of the river is beautiful and the sunsets - My PA Rita was the sweetest ever, she catered to everything I needed and cared about every detail to make it all a perfect experience - The INTERNET IS PERFECT! something that is difficult to find in other lodges in the area - very eco- friendly - rooms are HUGE! and very elegant, they have everything you need including mattress electric heaters during winter - The views of tu sunset from the room was beautiful as well
