Gainsborough Hotel

Oh dear. For a hotel in a lovely location, it’s sadly not worth it. When I arrived, the bed sheet was very obviously ripped and had been left that way by housekeeping. The walls are so thin you can hear the speech and tv of the person next door, as well as road noise which is a little more expected.   But more importantly, the shower is not useable. It’s large enough for a 10 year old child but no larger. When I brought this to the attention of the staff at the hotel and told them I’d needed to shower at a local gym in order to wash my hair, I was offered an immediate cancellation of my booking without fee. So essentially told I could leave. Since this was December in London, I unfortunately could not.  The staff took my contact details and told me I would be contacted but I have not been. Would not recommend staying here.
