When I first drove up I was disappointed--the view from the front is not very appealing, being on a resort access road. However, I was quickly won over by the cozy common room, my attractively quaint and clean room, the very comfortable bed, and the charming back garden and pond (complete with 2 goose families). The hosts were attentive but not intrusive and offered good advice about local attractions. The nearby town had a few decent restaurants and there were a number of interesting outdoor places to explore within a 30 min drive.

We had a phenomenal stay. The room was perfect, super cozy and super soft sheets. Breakfast was home cooked and always fresh coffee with breakfast. Lisa and Ken were super nice and made our stay feel like visiting family. Can’t wait to go back.

The Gentian Lodge is an absolute gem with the ambiance of a quaint lodge in the German mountains. The rooms were cute and comfortable and the breakfast service and staff are top-notch. Did I mention the beautiful and ornate Xmas display? Can't wait to visit next year!

This is a very old property however the owners have modernized it and kept it up-to-date They are most accommodating that is Lisa and Ken Prepare fresh breakfast for their guests complementary And accommodate the gas in any way to make them comfortable and feel at home

Very nice hosts and a beautiful view! Breakfast was great every morning and there are many nature trails nearby to fill the day. Very much worth the trip

The owners/operators were great people. We felt they really cared for our comfort at the lodge. The pool was great. The room very nice.
