The hotel was fine- no complaints. However, during our stay, a member of the hotel staff parked our hire car and crashed it, causing damage. Despite a signed letter from the manager confirming liability, he has done everything to avoid making payment. He has failed to respond to over 30 emails and won’t return phone calls. Absolutely disgusting and thoroughly dishonest behaviour which has cost me over £1000 to rectify via SIXT hire cars. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, particularly as the avoidance is deliberate. Avoid this place.

Just completed a three-night stay at The Tuscanian. First visit to Lucca - a delightful place. Hotel staff were warm, friendly, accommodating, and helpful for navigating the area. Rooms were extremely comfortable. Nice breakfasts. The restaurant (Antica Osteria) - attached but separate ownership - is also elegant, tasty, and reasonable. Lucca was a find! Hope to return. Less bustling and crowded than Florence and with its own unique charm. The Tuscanian stay made it memorable and wonderful.

A gem of a hotel Well located in the centre of Lucca Room was small but well appointed Helpful and unobstrusive staff Avoid for dinner as was the worst meal we had in Lucca by some distance over our 6 nights there

Good central location. Rooms & bathrooms have been upgraded with stylish & modern quality fittings, as have the public rooms. Very comfortable beds. Continental breakfast. However, for some visitors there may be a noise issue, very popular & busy restaurant open to non residents on one side of the building, and on the other side of the building there is the kitchen with staff being noisy outside until midnight.

We stayed for 2 nights at the start of a tour round some of Italy's highlights. The hotel is centrally located in a very quiet little square. The hotel staff were both very helpful and pleasant. Our room was huge and very comfortable. We would have liked to have a kettle, but otherwise it was well appointed. Breakfasts were good quality and fresh, and generous once we understood you just ordered as much as you wanted from the menu. We would highly recommend this little hotel.

My husband and I spent four nights at the Tuscanian and had a lovely time - I would give it 6 stars if I could! Everything was wonderful, from the clean room, friendly staff, perfect location in the center of the city, nice breakfasts. The staff were so helpful with moving and parking our car as needed, and they also left us a bottle of Prosecco as a honeymoon treat! I would stay here again anytime and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Lucca for a luxurious stay!

On arrival in Lucca we discovered the hotel we had booked didn’t quite meet our needs so after one night there decided we needed to try and find alternative accomadation. So glad we came across this hotel. From the moment we walked through the door we were very well looked after. ( also this hotel smells amazing, my husband had his eye on your giant diffusers 😂 ) Our room was really big , bright, super clean, and cool, the attention to detail is what really won me over. Flowers our entrance hall and little welcome sweets and treats. A complimentary mini bar that was replenshised everyday . Plenty of towels robes and slippers. Although our room was right above the restaurant it wasn’t too noisy and the restaurant never closed to late. The breakfast staff were very attentive and always lovely . Thank you for making our stay in Lucca memorable . Right up to arranging our pick up to take us to the airport yesterday . Our driver was the best, such a character . We will definitely hope to return to stay at the tuscanian in the future .

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Lucca. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. But the rooms were certainly a mixed bag. They are modern and the beds were comfortable, BUT the air conditioning did not work and it was so hot it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. The front desk staff spoke English, but were limited in responding in English to this issue and not helpful in getting it fixed. There were no directions in English for operating the system. Since none of us (two of us in two separate rooms) were able to make it work it seems either the system was inadequate or more better instructions should have been provided.
