Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre

Lovely place really clean really nice but it says it’s got a spa but all it’s got is one room for massage and treatments so you can’t really call it a spa

It was a very relaxing stay here. The breakfast is worth mentioning because they have a good selection and delicious food.

We knew what we wanted from a wedding venue, but after seeing several venues, we had almost come to the conclusion we would have to make some compromises. However, when we saw Kilworth for the first time in December 2022, we knew immediately that it was the perfect place for us to get married and we never looked back. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It has so many unique features and spaces, and through the exclusive package, we were able to use them however we wanted. The rooms are all beautiful, and the luxury rooms are just out of this world. They are pristine and all of our guests were really pleased with the quality. However, undoubtedly the most amazing part of getting married at Kilworth was their team and in particular, Caroline, who was our wedding coordinator. No other wedding coordinator and wedding team came close to Caroline and the Kilworth team. At every step, they were on hand with ideas, recommendations, solutions when needed and generally just made the process of wedding planning so much easier that it was a complete joy. I don't think "thank you" goes far enough really for everything Caroline did for us over the 18 months leading up to the wedding. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and whilst Caroline is absolutely amazing at her job, she was incredibly kind and we felt so welcomed every time we went to Kilworth. We often forgot that Caroline had many other weddings she was also the wedding co-ordinator for because she truly made us feel like we were the only ones and the priority. How she juggles this for every couple is just beyond me! The wider Kilworth team on the day were also absolutely brilliant. They were all so calm, it helped keep us calm throughout the day so we just enjoyed every minute. Everything ran smoothly, and if there were any issues, they were dealt with without anyone telling us! So many of our friends and family commented on how amazing the Kilworth staff were throughout the day, as well as how perfect the venue was. We couldn't agree with them more!  The extra special benefit of getting married at Kilworth is that although our wedding is over, we can still go back and visit and reminisce on the best day of our lives. Kilworth will forever hold an unbelievably special place in our hearts, and we look forward to visiting when we can and seeing the staff and Caroline again. We couldn't have asked for more from our wedding day, it was beyond what we could have ever imagined, and so much of that was down to Kilworth being the perfect venue with the most professional and outstanding team to help make the day as amazing as it was. Thank you so much for making our wedding day the best day of our lives, we will not be strangers to Kilworth and if we could recommend Kilworth to everyone getting married, we absolutely would without a doubt!

Having been to Kilworth House for afternoon tea some years ago and having an excellent experience. I booked it for a special occasion. Three adults and two children. We were greeted in a friendly manner, and asked to wait in the lounge until our table was ready. This was fine as we were early. Once shown to our table, we were instructed as to what the tea includes and some minutes later our order was taken. Two glasses had to be taken away as there were still lip marks on them. Our food arrived quite quickly, which was fine. And once we started, a member of staff asked if everything was ok. That was the last we heard from any member of staff. Looking around it seemed all staff were very attentive to other tables, even offering to take photos and bring more drinks etc. But at no point were we asked any further questions. It was at the end of our time when we requested a pack up box, that the lead waiter/manager asked if we wanted any more tea. A bit pointless when we had finished most of the food and were asking for a box to take any leftovers in. The food was nice enough, but not like the time I had experienced before. There was plenty of it though, more sweet stuff than savoury. Unfortunately this isn’t something we do often, so we were expecting a lot more from the service. And as such, it means we left feeling a little disheartened about the whole experience, especially as it wasn’t overly busy.

First trip to Kilworth Hotel, for the overnight stay and theatre package. Without doubt it was worth the long trip up from the West Sussex coast. Hotel room was a decent size and extremely clean. The staff were very pleasant and professional. And the show ‘Singing in the rain’, was superb - on par with any West End production. Really enjoyed the trip and looking to book again in the future.

We booked to see the theatre Production show Signing in the Rain on Saturday 13th July , the show was as good as any West End production we have seen, simply put it was fantastic. Booking by phone was easy and simple too. we were married on the 13th of July 2014 at Kilworth house so this been our tenth wedding Anniversary I wanted to make things special for our stay for my wife and book back at Kilworth house , I had only one disappointment when booking i could not book one of your luxury room , fully booked up in February . Friday 12th July I traveled down to the hotel to leave flowers and gifts for my wife to be placed in the room and was meet at reception by Mal , I requested everything to be placed in the room for when we booked in the next day , Mal told me this would not be a problem and she would take care of this personally for me, I also asked Mal if possible could we have a tablet reservation for two next too the orangery French doors on the evening as this was were we stood for our wedding vows , Mel asked me to give her a moment and went too spoke to the Maitre d , when she returned she told me everything would be sorted , my last request was if possible could we book in at 3pm she said she would try . Saturday 13thJuly we arrived at the hotel at 3 pm and was meet at reception by a smiling Mal and her colleague Mel spoke to me like she had not meet me before (great) I asked if we could book in , Mel rang house keeping and we were told the room would be ready in thirty minutes ( not a problem ) we went into the lounge to have a relaxing drink whilst we waited we were asked about luggage which we had placed on the luggage trolley Mel told me our luggage would be taken up to our room once it was ready . whilst my wife had her drink I went and spoke to Mel she told me she had take up the flowers and gifts for my wife into our Garden room herself .The Theatre Dinner Meal on the evening was superb ,service was fast we did not have to wait long between courses , nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant staff . we had a great dinning experience seat at our table which was reserved for us . Breakfast was self service the hot food arrived fairly quick ( very Busy ) the self service cold food was plentiful and a good selection which I observed was replenished at frequent intervals . my wife had only one complaint when we checked out which this was behind the hotels control noisy guests who wake my wife up when entering there room next too ours " Quite Late " honestly I heard nothing i am a heavy sleeper . Checking out we were meet Again by Mel who enquired how our Anniversary stay went . lets just say my wife was smiling all day Sunday . Mel and all the staff at Kilworth House made our Anniversary stay special nothing was too much trouble ,thank you everyone . Steve & Trace L , Room 203 .

The theatre is amazing, just seen Singing in the rain, absolutely amazing, very professional and entertaining. We have stayed in the hotel before and will again, the rooms are spacious, clean and wecoming. Theatre breaks are well worth it, recommend it for sure.

The staff at Kilworth couldn’t have done more for us, they went above and beyond, exceeding our already high expectations, making our day truly incredible. A special thank you to Natalie for all of her work in the build up to the day, making sure every little detail was covered and any stress was taken away. We are also incredibly grateful to Mehmet who was outstanding throughout the weekend ensuring all of visions came true, he could not have been more attentive and truly made us feel like we were their only wedding of the year. We had a bbq the night before the wedding for our guests, which was such a nice touch to the weekend, again the staff were amazing and the food was delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests on how amazing the venue was and all of the staff were throughout our wedding weekend. We had an exclusive wedding which was amazing to have most of our guests stay at the wedding venue. The venue also offers so much with the size of it and the number of different locations it has rather than being in one place all day. We couldn’t recommend the venue more, it really did exceed our expectations.

We came to see Singing in the Rain - absolutely fantastic! We did the theatre meal and b and b package. Couldn't fault any of it. Gorgeous room, delicious food, professional and friendly staff. Thank you so much all of you for an unforgettable weekend x
