Offshore - the Inn Collection Group

This is a bar with rooms, poor service, poor room, bed to small, no hot water, no water pressure, poor quality food. Overall over priced for what you get!

The hotel and staff are really lovely. Our stay was good value for money. The main downside was that, even with the curtains being open and all lights on, the room was very dark. Better lighting would have been better, especially for bedside lights. And, we didn't even object to our room window looking out to the air-con extractor units. The meals we had took a long time to arrive: for both the breakfast and evening meals. For breakfast the options for eggs were: fried, poached or scrambled. I asked if the cook could do me an omelette and the answer was, 'No'. So it was scrambled egg for me! But, overall we had a nice time at this newly refurbished hotel.

I really liked Offshore and greatly enjoyed my recent two night stay. As expected for a new hotel, it’s clean and modern with a good design. Service from all the staff was superb and more like the sort of service I’d expect from a luxury 5* hotel (but don’t always get!). I stayed in a single room, which was undeniably small, but, at the same time, it was neatly designed and had everything that I needed for a comfortable stay (apart from the pillows which were far too bulky). The bathroom was excellent with a walk-in shower (rain shower and handheld), plenty of hot water and first class products (Scottish Fine Soaps Sea Kelp). Breakfast was superb and, again, every member of staff that I encountered was terrific and couldn’t have been more helpful. As an example, I like hot milk with my coffee and asked one of the young waiters if it was possible for some hot milk. Not only did he oblige but he did so willingly and with a smile, bringing extra milk in case I wanted to have more than one cup of coffee. That’s what I call excellent service. There was plenty of choice of high quality breakfast items, including a range of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries and breads plus the usual hot food cooked to order (the sausages were delicious!) Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well, especially on the first night, due to the aforementioned bulky pillows. There were two on the bed (goodness knows how anybody could lay their head on two of them, without having neck pain!) and, although there was a spare pillow on one of the shelves, that too was a bulky one. With three pillows in a single room, why hadn’t consideration been given to one of them being a thinner one? Not everybody likes thick, bulky pillows and, even sleeping with just one of the pillows, wasn’t comfortable for me; I ended up taking both off the bed and using the towels as a pillow which wasn’t that great either. This was the only downside to an otherwise impressive stay that was great value for money. I’d really wanted to give five stars as well.

Good location nice hotel service waiting a long time and a bit exspensive food average but nice not many places to sit and eat had to sit on separate tables

We came to dine on bank holiday Monday! The restaurant and bar has been done beautifully, and has lots of space for drinking and dining. We had our 2 small dogs with us who were welcome, we were given water for them. Customer service was excellent, we had the most beautiful dough balls with garlic butter. And fish & Chips, it was the best fish & Chips I have ever had , massive portions, chunky crunchy chips, crunchy batter on the fish. Beautiful

Our room was very small and very hot. There was a fan in the room but it made little difference. Sleeping in these conditions was almost impossible. Check in was by computer. One of which did not work even when I was helped by a member of staff. No one gave instructions of how to get to our room. The signs were very small and the lift was not easy to find. Once upstairs you have to go up and down a few stairs to get from one corridor to another. Not easy with luggage. Breakfast was very good.

Wonderful staff made us feel so welcome wish we could have stayed another night 😁food was delicious especially breakfast. Room spotless and very comfortable bed. Could not fault anything

We thought we'd give the newly opened Offshore a try. There were noticeable teething problems as they were a new establishment. Drinks were expensive. Food when we got it was very nice but very slow service. Our room was incredibly hot - need fans putting in the rooms. Didn't get a lot of sleep as it was too hot. I'm sure all will get more fluent as the hotel gets going and fully up to speed.

Room was comfortable but food and drink very expensive and no entertainment, other hotels nearby appeared to have some entertainment/music (will book a different hotel next time)
