Residence Odalys le Pelvoux

This accommodation is no way 4 stars. Yes the location is great but the accommodation is in a poor state of affairs it desperately needs painting and tlc the carpets smell the walls look like they've seen better days and the crockery definitely wasn't clean on arrival. The reception lady was terrible very sharp and condescending to everyone and to top that we arrived from our flight at midday and wasn't allowed to check in till 5pm !!!!!. I definitely would not stay there again.

We stayed at Le Pelvoux in La Plagne for a week in February - a party of 5 adults Firstly, you can’t fault the location, ski in, ski out, right by the shops and bars/restaurants and above the ski/boot hire place. And the skiing was wonderful Which makes it even more of a shame that the land lady/manager/owner (her role was unclear)was such a grumpy, unhelpful woman who had no place working in hospitality Upon arrival we were disappointed to find that despite arriving at 10am we wouldn’t be allowed in our room until 4pm. We were then shocked to find that despite Iglu’s blurb clearly stating that towels were provided, we had to pay £10 PER towel to hire it for the week. Frustrating as had we known this we would simply have brought our own towels. We then were handed sheets/pillow cases and told that we had to make our own beds up… I’m sorry, what? Our apartment was modern, and pleasant enough, however far too small for 5 adults, with virtually nowhere to unpack our gear and so we had to live out of suitcases for a week The apartment came with toaster, coffee machine, a job and microwave and a good selection of utensils, however no cleaning products or equipment. Yet we had to clean the apartment before we left. Yes actually clean it, not just leave it presentable, or risk forfeiting our deposit - obviously we missed the part in the literature about the holiday actually being part funded by being the cleaning staff…. The Wi-Fi which was supposedly available (along with the mythical free towels) was inaccessible - which I can see is a long-standing issue as others have left reviews saying the same thing The check out was early, and as on our arrival there was no where to store suitcases for the several hours between check in/out and arrival/departure We also had to dispose of our own rubbish and recycling - no mean feat as the bins were a fair trek from the building… It remains unclear why we weren’t allowed to go in the rooms in the 6 hours between arrival and being allowed in, since the cleaning and rubbish disposal and beds being made up clearly wasn’t being done as the people before us would have done it before being booted out early in the morning! A real shame as the location was superb - but the owners attitude left a nasty taste in the mouth, and would prevent us from returning

smokers area at the entrance is horrible. Even on the balcony the smell of the smoke was strong. Opening the window doors to the balcony as a result not possible, further good clean appartment. and close to the pistes

Whilst we’ve given these apartments 4 stars this reflects some better and poorer aspects. On the good side, our apartment (no. 37) was located on the top floor and was larger than expected, billed as a one bedroom it actually had a double bedroom with en-suite shower and a second small bedroom with full size bunk beds. There was also a relatively large (for ski apartments) living/dining/kitchen room with a sofa bed and a main bathroom and separate toilet. The apartment was well decorated and was spotlessly clean. Le Pelvoux is situated directly above the main shopping/restaurant complex in La Plagna centre and as such has excellent access to these facilities and to the vast ski area that is the Paradiski. Unfortunately the reception is only open for a couple of hours in the morning and then again a couple of hours in the late afternoon which is not enough. We travelled with with the Cristal ski operator and our arrival, although on time, was outside this period. The hotel insists on payment of a room deposit prior to releasing keys meaning Cristal had to cover this until we were able to pay it the following morning, it also meant we didn’t get properly checked in by the reception staff. This failing meant we didn’t know that we were required to book a time slot for an inspection of the apartment on departure and also reduces the facilities available to guests. The hotel has strict rules about the wearing of ski boots inside and reception staff can also seem a little abrupt at times. The central location also means that there is occasionally some noise from below.

Un personnel à l'écoute, agréable et disponible. Concernant le logement seul la literie n'est pas confortable. Très bien situé aux pieds des remontées mécanique et en bas de l'immeuble tous les commerces à disposition et restauration.

Pour la 5 ème année passé au pelvoux en mars , nous avons passé un séjour agréable entre neige et soleil. Célia cheffe de réception accueillante et a l'écoute de nos besoin . Appartement bien équipé , literie en bon état, situation skis aux pieds .

Aller chez Odalys, c'est aller vers l'efficace : tout y est pratique. 1/ Le logement On reçoit un mail avec les codes pour qu'on puisse décharger avant que la réception n'ouvre. Si le logement est terminé avant 17H, on reçoit un sms pour nous prévenir qu'on peut emménager et aller plus tard à la réception. L'état est impeccable évidemment, propre, décoré avec goût. Seul petit bémol : tous les casiers à ski ont la même taille. Nous sommes 3 skieurs dans la famille, donc cela convient mais certains logements à 6 auront un peu plus de difficultés (sauf si ils ont le casier magique du coin avec un "double" emplacement). 2/ La localisation Il y a 3 remontées mécaniques à Plagne Centre, Odalys est en face, et juste devant les "piou piou", donc on sort ski au pied littéralement, avec un accès aux galeries souterraines. 3/ Les services Nous n'avons pas utilisé les services cette fois mais il y a une salle avec quelques appareils, un sauna et un hammam, qui est parfait après une bonne journée sur les pistes. Attention, c'est fermé en même temps que la réception, à savoir le mercerdi et le dimanche après-midi il me semble (à vérifier). 4/ L'accueil Célia est très aimable et souriante, c'set un plaisir d'aller "l'embêter" car il n'y a jamais de problème. Monsieur moustache (dont je ne connais pas le nom) est également très symathique. A noter qu'il s'agit d'une nouvelle équipe cette année. Meme si les précédentes étaient très bien aussi, l'organisation quasi militaire d'arrivée est vraiment très apprécialble : on connait le numéro de logement en amont, les codes et on peut arriver sereinement à peu près quand on veut l'après-midi sans dépendre de la réception, c'est très pratique et ça n'existait pas avant. Nous reviendrons certainement l'année prochaine.

Résidence très bien située au pied des pistes et de toutes les facilités. L'appartement et les équipements intérieurs sont modernes, la literie est bonne. Nous avions réservé un appartement 5/6 personnes mais c'est en fait à peu près idéal pour un appartement témoin ou pour un couple occupant la chambre et 2 enfants dans l'espace lits superposés. Sinon, c'est juste galère car pas de place de dépose ou de rangement : un lave main comme lavabo dans la salle d'eau exiguë, même pas un porte savon dans la douche, même pas un accroche torchon dans l'espace cuisine, 3 patères dans le salon, rien pour mettre les couettes la journée, les valises ou les chaussures de ski. Bref, du camping, à 400 euros la nuit. En plus, l'accès voiture pour déposer les bagages est nul, la réception est au 2ème, le dernier étage est sur une terrasse en plein air et non éclairée la nuit. Franchement même en faisant des efforts, on se demande comment on peut concevoir et mettre en location de pareils espaces, c'est scandaleux.

Je ne recommande pas cet établissement au vu des prestations dans le cadre du logement (literie cassé/sommier inutilisable /nuit avec matelas au sol). En sus, le logement n'avait pas fait l'objet d'un nettoyage avant notre arrivée. état de propreté indésirable signalé. Nous étions venus l'an passé et avions été satisfaits de la prestation . Mais la dégradation du logement , cette année, est manifeste et n'est absolument pas à la hauteur.
