My 4 nights stay at JC RESIDENCY was pleasant and made more memorable by the staff. They are always at hand to serve you with the u**ost courtesy. As for the hotel and the room, the decor is reminiscent of the Indian palaces. The room we had was a suite. It was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and pillows. All the usual amenities found in a hotel room are provided. I love the decor and royal feel to the room, but it is in need of an overhaul in terms of the appliances and fittings. The television does not work. If you don't intend to spend a lot of time in the room, then it's OK. However, the bathroom sticks out like a sore thumb in terms of decor and is very much in need of a revamp. The shower is old school from the ceiling type with no control settings, no handheld shower provided. To save water, a bucket and a scoop are provided. Handwash, body wash, and shampoo are to be expressed from local shop type dispensers. I enjoyed the food. There was a good spread of local dishes for the breakfast buffet. Please ask for the South Indian coffee extra strong. Otherwise, it would be overly milky. As my stay coincided with Pongal, the guests were invited to join in cooking the pongal over firewood stove and traditional games. It was fun with ***y sporting guests and staff joining in.

We went to the rest***nt, ***n Raj and Kamakshi in the restaurant were good in terms of suggesting the dishes and the overall service. It is a must visit to experience and taste Madurai cuisine and dishes

The hotel is very good and well maintained. Varsha K, at the reception handled out checkin and checkout very well. We had a pleasant stay. Rest of the staff is also very good. Breakfast was good quality and had a lot of options. Just 1 concern - for extra bedding they didn't provide an extra comforter, but on request they gave.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel with family including parents. This is a good hotel. It has lift facility. Parking is good. Auto is easily available from right next to the hotel. There is not much food options available near the property, but hotel restaurant is quite good. Breakfast options were also quite nice. Hotel staff was polite and helpful.

We booked The royal suite -the most expensive room in the JC RESIDENCY but to our surprise there was nothing Royal about it except the massive size of room. Everything else in the room was ordinary,especially the lights in the room were extremely Dim,dull and boring. Last year in the same hotel, we booked Heritage Room last December, it was amazing, extremely clean, comfortable and well lit. So, if you want to book a room, either book Deluxe or Heritage types of rooms and nort Royal suite. Regarding Staff, it was again not so good experience this time compared to last time which was really good. Staffs now are more worried about the Reviews/rating and kept asking to remember their name and put it in while reviewing. Overall, disappointing experience at JC.

Felt like staying in an historical palace. Artworks are amazing. Spacious room, bathrooms etc. Staff were very courteous and they allowed us to do late check-in and late check-out to accommodate our schedule.

The hotel is located in an ideal location. All the staff are friendly and helpful especially Mr.Rajesh in the restaurant section.

Called for new towels but did not get them. Frequent power trips that affected the aircon in the room. Fridge was not working.
