The first impression of the host Younoos was excellent. He was welcoming, friendly and very helpful with our luggage and guided us to a nice and large room. My wife and I are very happy with our accommodation. Since then we have enjoyed our 4 night stay, with early morning breakfast served by the host himself. This place definitely feels like home and I can wander into the meals area to make myself a cuppa when I want. I very highly recommend Auberge Le Saladier and will be back next year for sure.

I had a one day layover in Mauritius and spent the night here. The price was reasonable and it is not far from the airport. My room was clean and comfortable and the owners are very nice people.

The owner couple was super helpful and friendly. There are supermarkets, banks, restaurants, market, bus station and seaside area all in walking distance from the histel.

Super accueil très agréable et chaleureux. Chambre et salle de bain simple. Pas besoin de plus pour une nuit selon nous. Petit déjeuner simple avec une salade de fruit en plus. Le rapport qualité prix est top. Il y a quelques restaurants aux alentours et on est très proche de l’aéroport. Donc très pratique quand on y arrive.

Dovendo soggiornare per una notte a Mahebourg senza spendere eccessivamente abbiamo scelto questa struttura su un sito specializzato. Si tratta di un edificio su due piani con ingresso su una via poco trafficata e abbastanza silenziosa. Le camere si affacciano su un grazioso e fiorito cortile interno. E' gestito da una coppia molto gentile e disponibile. Nel prezzo della camera (veramente economico) è compresa un leggera prima colazione. Le noti dolenti sono il bagno abbastanza malmesso con acqua calda che arriva dopo oltre 5 minuti dall'apertura del rubinetto e il soffione della doccia perennemente penzolante che non ne vuole sentire di restare attaccato al gancio di supporto. La dotazione del bagno si limita a un solo asciugamano piccolo e nessun prodotto cosmetico per la doccia (solo un dispenser per le mani). In compenso è presente un piccolo frigorifero per mantenere relativamente fresche bevande e cibi apportati dagli ospiti. Quello che fa comunque drasticamente precipitare la nostra valutazione è la visita notturna di un robusto scarafaggio che ci ha fatto compagnia durante la notte infrattandosi, successivamente, dietro i mobili della stanza sfuggendo ai nostri tentativi di cattura. Del resto per il prezzo pagato (30€ circa) ci può stare.

Nous avons passé une semaine à l'auberge Le Saladier en couple avec nos 2 filles. Accueil exceptionnel de la part de Yoonos et Jill qui sont aux petits soins et toujours de bons conseils. Petit déjeuner servi chaque matin avec la bonne humeur de Yoonos. Sécurité de l'auberge est un ++. Chambre fonctionnelle pas de luxe ni d'ornements mais vous y trouverez la clim (en petit supplément) et la télé . Patio fleuri agréable. L'auberge est dans le centre ville de Mahébourg, gare routiere a 5 min a pied, restos snacks, toutes commodités a proximité. Merci pour tout à Yoonos et Jill, nous avons eu un vrai coup de cœur pour cette auberge et leurs hôtes. Nous espérons y retourner si nous avons l'occasion de séjourner à Maurice.

Tout d’abord un accueil exceptionnel. Younoos et son épouse sont adorables et savent mettre les visiteurs immédiatement à l’aise. Ce n’est pas donné à tout le monde, mais là, Younoos est un Pro. Hébergement très bien placé, au calme, à deux pas des points stratégiques de la ville. De plus, non loin des plus belles plages de l’île, Blue Bay et pointe d’Esny. Chambre simple, très propre avec néanmoins tout le confort nécessaire, dans un environnement très agréable autour d’un petit jardin. On s’y sent bien, comme à la maison. Youness saura également vous conseiller pour tout renseignement concernant d’éventuelles excursions dans la région. Si en sortant de l’aéroport de Maurice vous voulez passer quelques jours dans le sud de l’île, c’est au Saladier qu’il faut déposer vos valises. Un grand merci encore. Alain et Daniele
