The host was really rude and oppressive. He controlled the every single thing we were doing. We felt like in prison. Thanks god it was only one night stay. The bed was uncomfortable and very small. The breakfast very limited. Did not enjoy the freaky style. I felt check every move I made. Two adults 50 over treated like kids. We don’t drink or smoke. Good luck with young generation . We couldn’t find another place to sleep otherwise we would have gladly swapped. We travel a lot and that’s the first time we have found ourselves in this situation

Spotlessly clean, the building was bright and airy. There was a room mix-up when my son and I arrived but it was sorted straight away by the friendly reception staff and a happy solution was found. Ample parking and they're quite laid-back about you parking in the back garden (which is has a nice lawn with picnic table. Breakfast, part of the deal but... an unusual setup. You are given access to the kitchen and to well stocked fridges and it's helped yourself. My son toasted crumpets for himself and I had yogurts. Cereal is available and you are even welcome to cook bacon and eggs as well. Tea and coffee, of course in the room and downstairs in the kitchen. If in the area, I'd certainly use it again.

Great little spot! Super clean and quiet little spot. Shared kitchen and laundry if you need, both are modern and clean spaces. Big open back garden with seats and very close to town, only about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in was easy and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Clean and welcoming. Good choice for breakfast. Great facilities. Great for family’s visiting the area, 5 of us and not much choice but at Wilson lodge they was the perfect family room. Staff welcomed our children with drinks upon Arrival. We visited Lego land which was not far away at all. Beds were comfy. Had everything we needed. Amazing value for money

This place is more like a hostel. Except the mattresses really need to be replaced, at least in the room we had. It was the family room. You could feel the springs. Did not get a good nights sleep. Also on a busy road. Breakfast is a do it yourself type of thing. Croissants are in a cellophane package soft, like you would get in a vending machine. Place is clean though as you do have to do your own dishes and clean up yourself. I guess some people live here. Some people must like it from the reviews but we are not used to paying this kind of money of a do it yourself breakfast and horrible mattress.

We had an amazing stay at Wilson Lodge for our Legoland trip. The room was brilliant-clean and comfortable with all the added extras to make it a home away from home! We were blown away by the breakfast offering, and it was so lovely to be able to please ourselves. A pleasure from enquiring all the way through and couldn’t I’ve been more helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed at the Wilson lodge for the whole year of 2022 and it has been a home away from home for me. I miss it even now. I met a lot of people during the stay here and it was a nice way to socialize. The place is always clean ,they are always happy to help you if they can and have pointers on taxi or anything else u need during your stay here. It has been very helpful that the fridge for guests always has basics covered for breakfast,the cutlery is extensive if you would like to cook and there is a washer/dryer too. In case of issues they have been prompt to fix it. The petrol station is 2 min away grocery at 9 min or 12 by walk ,high street by 12-15 min by walk and train station by 20 min by walk. The area is scenic and safe. I hope to stay here again and relive the wonderful memories.

We booked a few rooms for our families and friends. We had a great time as we are able to gather and enjoy the back garden. The space was just what we needed. The location was strategic for a stroll by the river or a short walk to town. Carla was helpful from the time we made reservations up till the day we left. The rooms were comfy and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Wilson Lodge.

The Lodge is a superbly run B and B with a boutique feel to it and Excellent Wi-Fi. I stayed for four weeks and could not have been looked after better. All the guests seem to be returning visitors. For the price I think it's very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back.
