Ikaros Suites

Ikaros Suites was absolutely incredible. We stumbled across it when looking for somewhere to stay after our original hotel turned out to be a disaster, and they were able to squeeze us in for 3 nights in July. They were warm, welcoming and friendly - a family run business, everyone has a part to play from front desk to car for hire, and a beautiful handmade jewellery stall in the reception area. The rooms were beautiful, modern and clean, and the pool provided the perfect intimate and quiet spot to relax, as well as being just 2 minutes from the local beach. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, far from the hustle and bustle of busy resorts and screaming kids. The hotel also shares its premises with the poolside Murelo restaurant, where we ate twice and had beautiful vegetable pasta (perhaps would have been nicer to have some other veggie options but that was really not a problem). There were also really nice restaurants and cute shops within walking distance, and a 5 minute walk from the hotel there's a bus to central Heraklion. Truly this was the best holiday ever due to Ikaros suites being so lovely - the staff were friendly, the facilities were wonderful and clean, and the neighbourhood was exactly what we were looking for. As two women, we felt safe here and this was largely due to the staff and the vibe at Ikaros. Thank you so so much, we can't wait to come back - Sam and Alya

Ikaros suites is the excellent choice for a wonderful stay in Crete and only 10 min from Heraklion. The accommodation & hospitality is superb. Very friendly owners @ all is beautiful decorated by Mrs Marina. The rooms are big and you can find all you wish. Outdoor pool and facilities create a excellent vibe. Compliments & thanks for our stay!

it's a nice cosy hotel, you have a coffee machine in your room, just 2 steps from the beach, the restaurant has very good atmosphere and score and I confirm 👍 the bar list has good wines, mainly local and international classic cocktails and another from their own gentle served for Nicos the barman, I certainly recommend it!

Rooms and outdoor area had a nice design. Room was noisy; we could hear anyone who entered or left the building. Toilet had a strange smell. Pool area was nice.

I only spent 1 night at the Ikaros Suites but had a really enjoyable time. The location is 15 km west of Heraklion town about 2 minutes from the beach. The local beach itself is OK but not epic. The property has a nice pool with relaxing and eating areas as its focus. The suite had a very large living area with modern furnishings, a comfy bed and shower room. I’d say the location is quiet with the odd cat fighting, but I seemed to get that everywhere I stayed in Crete :0 The best part about my stay was the staff and the food. The staff, mainly from the same family, treated you like family. Like many Cretans I had met, they were so friendly and helpful As soon as I arrived I was offered a glass (or 4!) of the home-made raki which was really nice and had a great conversation with the head of the family. The food was the best I had tasted in Crete. All made with produce from the family’s farm in the nearby hills. The portions were huge but so tasty and the local red wine excellent. The food made my stay perfect. I’d definitely return.

Que dire de ce magnifique hôtel à taille humaine. Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure et cette dernière était magnifique tant en taille que par la décoration et les équipements proposés. La piscine bordée d’oliviers en pots nous a subjugué . Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour. Mention toute spéciale pour les propriétaires et pour leur accueil chaleureux. Quant au restaurant un régal. Un seul mot merci

Das Hotel und die Lage sind ein absoluter Traum. Alle sind im höchsten Maße gastfreundlich. Es ist eine kleine Hotelanlage, die mit sehr viel Stil eingerichtet ist. Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht riesig aber dafür auch sehr schön eingerichtet und neu renoviert. Wir hatten einen Balkon mit Meerblick, von dem morgens der Sonnenaufgang und abends der Sonnenuntergang zu sehen ist. Das Essen ist ebenfalls äußerst gut und lecker, es gibt unter anderem auch traditionelle Gerichte neu interpretiert, Nudelgerichte sowie Steaks und Lobster. Der Strand ist nur einen Fußmarsch von etwa Einer Minute entfernt und somit auch ideal. Alles in allem würde ich Ikaros Suites weiter empfehlen und komme auch gerne wieder!

Très belle chambre (suite) un peu à l'extérieur du centre touristique de la ville. La chambre est très grande, très bien décorée et le lit KingSize est juste trop confortable. Nous avons été reçu comme des rois par les propriétaires de l'établissement et leur équipe! Que dire du prix plus que raisonnable pource genre de chambre et le petit déjeuner était succulent et très très copieux🤗

Εξερετικο προσοποικο, ευγενέστατοι, πεντακάθαρα τα δωμάτια απίστευτη διαμονή. Το πρωινο ήταν γευστικότατο και τεράστιες ποσότητες .Την πρώτη μερα που ήρθαμε δεν είχε ανοίξει η κράτηση και παραγκειλαμε πρωινο ενώ είχε κλίσει η κουζινα γιατί ήταν 11 ευγενέστατοι !
