Excellent welcome and allowed to check in early. Massive bedroom and bathroom, room #19. Everything clean and tidy.
Grout needs refreshing in the shower and the wardrobe door wouldn't stay closed so a bit of upkeep and maintenance needed. Quite a strong smell of food/cooking too so an airing probably needed.
Breakfast service was great, food just needed a bit more care in the cooking for our liking.
Overall, for the price and location, I'd still give this stay full marks

Beautiful 400 yr old property … from the outside ! Unfortunately wasn’t as nice inside , very dated with lots of maintenance repairs to be addressed , bed was lumpy , pillows were lumpy , we had a feature room but it was definitely a 2 star stay for a 4/5 star price ! Won’t stay again but the receptionist was very nice

Very helpful and pleasant staff. The area was quiet and easily walkable into Mallon. My only minor gripe was an uncomfortable bed. That aside we had a really nice stay although only 1 night.

It’s a very old building so expect some ‘quirks’. That said, everything worked, the bathroom/shower was great and it’s very quiet so I had an amazingly lovely sleep.

Our room was stunning! The Boardroom was just beautiful, wish we could have stayed longer. The food in the evening was divine, great to see some clever vegan options

I had Room 1, a large room with an excellent view. As you saw from the title of this review, the porridge at breakfast was excellent.

It was a wonderful location within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. We had dinner at their restaurant which was excellent: attentive staff, warm atmosphere and tasty menu selections. The accommodations had Old World charm with modern conveniences.

The staff were very welcoming. The room had lots of space. The place is beautiful inside and out.

The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The lighting in the bathroom was poor making shaving difficult.
This stay was over priced for a luxury double. The couple who came with us had a far better room as a standard, even with a four poster bed!
We were given 1 small bottle of shampoo and just 1 packet of shortbread biscuits!
