Quite simply the best hotel and place to stay in Bahrain! Have stayed in 6-7 various places in Bahrain. Always return back to The Merchant House! Conveniently located to Bab Al Bahrain and the Souq area. Easy access to and from the hotel, along Government Avenue. Merchant House is impeccably clean. It's small enough that the staff are few and become family when staying there. Ahmed, Max, Arlyn, Asfand, and Mohsen at front desk greet us by name and are extremely attentive. Always feel like a VIP when staying there. The decor and art is a treat.

This has to be one of the most beautiful boutique hotels on the planet. Nestled at the gateway to the old Bahrain port within feet to the active souk the Merchant House is a perfect balance of luxury and charm. The art collection alone is a reason to visit. Each room is a large suite with private living room. Rooms are equipped with large bathrooms and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay; including a jura coffee maker. Upstairs is a beautiful outdoor terrace with an amazing restaurant called Indigo.Everything we ate whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner was excellent.

I’m lucky enough to stay in hotels all over the world for work and pleasure, and Merchant House is one of the best. It’s small so you feel special, the location is right next to the bustling souk with shops, stalls, bars and great local restaurants, and the staff are brilliant. It’s a one-off, not part of a chain and you can tell. Great design and thoughtful art and furniture. The room was really nice, great bed with perfect pillows, smart bathroom. Minibar has bottles of vodka in the freezer! Staff genuinely warm and professional, and really cared. Breakfast is a la carte with great choices and the best fcoj! Great rooftop bar. I could go on but you get the idea. I loved it. Only suggestion: the food is really, really good but the main evening menu has nothing local or Arabic, and that would have been nice for some local flavour. Tiny point though, as I loved the food.

Exceeded expectations! From the elegant decor to the impeccable service, our stay at this hotel was simply superb. Highly recommend for a luxurious and unforgettable experience. I have loved everything from the rooftop pool to the very comfy beds!

excellent location, and attentive staff. Roomscare very specious and clean. the artwork displayed all around hotel is beautiful! the roof terrace is very nice for winding down after a long day. Maxwell and Asfand at front desk were very kind.

The rooms are awesome and very clean, very comfortable bed, the staff are so friendly, special thanks for Ahmad and Sayed. The location is very convenient. The roof cafe and restaurants is very nice. We had an upgrade for free. Every thing is great.
