Stayed here for a night after day cruise at Alleppey last year. This property is reflection of Kerala legacy architecture, thoughtfully designed with well placed antique artifacts here and there. Rooms too are in traditional way hence some might find missing a few in-room modern amenities. There is a pool, surrounded by beautiful sitting huts one side and restaurant on the other that serves lovely food. Manager had gone extra mile to arrange a cake from city (which is quite at a distance) to make our day memorable. We enjoyed canoeing in nearby canal next morning. Overall, a complete package to experience nature and heritage.

Couldn’t fault this lovely traditional hotel. We had a really nice upgraded room with four poster beds. Spacious bathroom. Attentive staff and good food in the outdoor restaurant. A lovely ambiance throughout. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Thank you very much! You are a fantastic team whether at the reception or in the kitchen. So helpful to also have the help of the manager Rahul when my husband fell ill. Also had a wonderful encounter with James, the tuk-tuk *** who took us around to visit the natural surrounding etc. We are totally satisfied and will speak about you.

Stayed for 5 nights. This is a beautiful oasis. Most of the time it felt it was just myself and my partner staying there., when the place was booked out. Food is exceptional, chicken kappas, devine. Staff are friendly and chatty. I have to say that the House Keeping are exceptional with their diligence and just making sure that all is right. They even sweep up the leaves everyday! I would highly recommend staying here. It’s only small hotel but big in character. The Reception staff, also arranged for a local tuk tuk driver to take us out, we enjoyed a couple of hours boating down the backwaters, which the Reception staff arranged with the tuk tuk driver. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay. We hope to stay again, next year.

Bendedict, the head chef, is amazing. Anything his team create is delicious. I would only dock the place one star because the water pressure for showers is very weak. In order to get a full five stars the hotel really must have good water pressure at this price range. My parents really enjoyed the place as it had so much charm compared to the typical high end resorts. The beautiful beach is a fun 20 min walk. The beach is outstanding.

This is a great location for people looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy being close to nature and the beach, as we did during our honeymoon. Those looking for an activity-packed resort option should look elsewhere. The property is a renovated colonial-style house with a lush garden with a small pool and access to a canal that leads to a nearby beach -- don't miss out on the unique experience of taking the hotel's canoe to the beach! (the beach is unfortunately not great for swimming due to the strong current). You will probably eat most of your meals at the hotel restaurant, which had great option. Good variety for the few days we were there. Try the dosa for breakfast if available, the grilled paneers, and the biryanis. We are thankful to Tom, the head waiter, for the fantastic attention while we were there. Pro tip: pre-order your dinner meal in the afternoon to make the kitchen's life easier. We arranged airport pickup from Kochi through the hotel and the pickup was smooth and easy, exactly what you want after a long flight.

This is certainly a lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere and interiors. The bedroom was spacious & comfortable but did lack hanging space for ladies' dresses and there weren't sufficient shelves/drawers for all our other clothes. The big disappointment was having no fridge in the room and it was totally needed. We did mention this and they thought maybe it had been removed for repair, anyway we never got one. The pool area is small with only some beds getting the sun. The outdoor restaurant served very nice food and the two guys running it were very good and very friendly - thank you both. The hotel isn't positioned so you can go out for a nice walk, but there is a beach nearby ( 10 minute walk or by canoe but it's a bit deserted with no sun beds or a cafe /bar there for even a cold drink. ) The beach further on is around a 30 minute walk away. So you were slightly limited where you could go by foot but we didn't realise that at the time of booking. We did enjoy our stay hence the 4/5 but couldn't give it 5 due to the points mentioned above.

Authentic Kerala setup , both cuisine and the heritage hotel. A must visit resort. Very welcoming staff. Service was great. Very close to the beach. Clean and well maintained rooms with antique Kerala furniture and decor. Very quiet environment away from the madenning crowd.

A really lovely place to base yourself in near Allepey. Food in the restaurant is really good and Tom an excellent waiter. Nothing was too much for the friendly staff. They are happy to organize excursions to the backwaters etc. Rooms are spacious.
