First of all, the customer service at the Godolphin is exceptional! On arrival we were greeted by a lovely and frendly receptionist. We came before scheduled check-in time, she said she will try get the room ready asap , we can explore the beach and scenery in the interim and she will call soon as its ready. She told us about the local restaurants and sites. Being met with such warmth makes ALL the difference . Especially when you are so far from familiar territory. The restaurant staff- again, greets you immediatley with a smile, takes you to the best available seats , which you might think is standard but no. I have been to many restaurants and ushered into dark dull corners despite available tables on more ' 'scenic' sides. We inevitably have to request a change of seating ...but at the Godolphin....it felt like the my best interests were at the heart of each person. Excellent service. Now the hotel itself- wow. Decor is elegant and stylish. Room was furnished with so many treats , complimentary and things to pay for- wines, chocolates, brownies, gin...we do not drink but felt cared for! A major plus- the little fridge. It feels like someone sat down and thought 'if i was a guest in a hotel, what would I like'. To all the staff at the Godolphin- inlcuding the friendly cleaners who I did not mention, you do Marazion, the rest of Cornwall and the South west proud. You brought huge smiles and happiness to the hearts of two very overworked and burnt out Doctors. Totally worth the drive from Preston! Be blessed.
