The Marco Polo Alpina Familien- & Sporthotel offers a unique location amidst the enchanting mountain landscape of the Hochkönig in the province of Salzburg. The comfortable studios and apartments feature a kitchenette and a balcony or a terrace. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine, and there is also a bistro with sun terrace and a hotel bar. Non-alcoholic beverages, beer, prosecco, wine, coffee, tea and several long drinks are included. Between 12:00 and 21:00 ice cream is free for children up to 14 years of age. The spa area features an indoor pool, a children's pool, a spacious sauna area including a Finnish sauna, a family sauna, and an infrared cabin, and a sun bed. Massages and beauty treatments are available on request and at a surcharge. For younger guests there is a games room with billiard and table tennis facilities and a pinball machine, as well as a kid's club offering a varying programme including expeditions, visits of the climbing garden, painting, crafting and much more. During summer season, guided hikes are offered three times a week. Located at 1,000 metres above sea level, the Marco Polo Alpina hotel complex is at the heart of the Hochkönigs Winter Ski Area. Here you will find perfectly groomed slopes in all degrees of difficulty and many cross-country ski runs, as well as snowshoe and winter hiking trails in an unspoilt landscape. The Hochkönig Card is included in the rate and included services are swimming areal, mountain cable-way, buses from mid-May to mid-October. Bardzo dobry wybór na narciarsko-saneczkowy pobyt z dziećmi. Pokoje duże wygodnie urządzone bez problemu mieści się łóżeczko dziecięce, duże szafy. Mały aneks kuchenny- można w ciągu dnia podgrzać dziecku zupkę lub kaszkę. Bardzo dobre obiadokolacje duży wybór potraw . Byliśmy z półtorarocznym wnuczkiem i szczerze mówiąc przed przyjazdem mieliśmy obawy czy będzie miał co jeść - wybór był taki, że zawsze wychodził najedzony i zadowolony. Śniadania dość monotonne ale wybór wystarczający. Bardzo dobry pomysł z lunch pakietami na stok. W pobliżu nie ma sklepów ale w związku z pełnym wyżywieniem w hotelu nie było potrzeby robienia zakupów . Bardzo miła, pomocna obsługa w restauracji. Wyciąg z połączeniem do kolejnych wyciągów i górka na saneczki obok hotelu. Mamy w planach jeszcze wrócić do tego hotelu. Polecam szczególnie dla narciarzy i rodzin z dziećmi.

We stayed here at the very end of October, just a week or so before the end of the season. Our unit had an incredible view of the Hochkönig mountains, it was idyllic. The location was perfect for hikes. Also the lady who leads the hikes (2-3 per week) is incredible, we highly recommended going on her hikes. As for food, the pizza in the bistro is very good. We did not do the All Inclusive so cannot speak to the quality of the food in the main restaurant other than to say it is served buffet style and reminded us of a school cafeteria so we passed on that. Be warned though, if you stay in the low season like we did, there are very few dining options open in Hinterthal. That said, the Alm Bar restaurant right down from the resort was open and it is excellent. The sauna area at the resort is very nice. If you don’t bring a robe with you you can rent one for a euro per day from the front desk. It is a nude area, as a heads up. Overall, the area is absolutely stunning and we would stay at the resort again.

Been as a family in August 2021. The hotel, although beeing a little “old” and in need or rennovation, it’s very nice. The staff is superfriendly, the food is good (though for breakfast some variations would be nice). The lunch paket feature is top! Also you have sauna, a free massage and the pool area is ok! Raccomended

Alles und wirklich alles war einfach nur sehr, sehr schön. Wir kommen im Juni 2024 wieder und freuen uns auf das sehr gute Essen und das freundliche, hilfsbereite Personal. Ebenso auf den leckeren Kuchen und Kaffe im Bistro. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und ordentlich ausgestattet.

Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden.Die Appartement im dritten Strock sind Mansarde deshalb mit dem Kopf aufpassen, aber man lernt schnell. Schwimmbad und Sauna sehr gut und sauber, haben wir immer genutzt war auch nicht übervoll. Das Frühstücksbuffet könnte besser Präsentiert und auch ausgestattet werden, ebenso das Abendbuffet. Geschmekt hat es uns aber wie schon Vorbewerter bemerken, ein bisschen Kantiene.

Als Familien- Sporthotel gut geeignet! Man muss wissen: Man sollte kein Erholungs- und Wellnesshotel der neuesten und modernsten Design-Generation erwarten. Es ist ein Club- Hotel im 80er Jahre Look, das jedoch regelmäßig, mit einfachen Mitteln, renoviert wird, in top Panorama Lage. Für Familien und Sportbegeisterte, z.B. Wanderer und Skifahrer, gut geeignet. Unsere Zimmer waren sehr sauber und sämtliches Personal auffallend freundlich! Das Essen im Bistro war sehr lecker und reichlich. Egal in welchem Bereich wurde sich sofort um unsere Wünsche bemüht und in den kürzlich erneuerten Matratzen schliefen wir sehr gut! Auch in den Wintergärten des Restaurants haben wir uns mit Bergblick wohl gefühlt. Auch wenn das Design nicht mehr aktuell ist, ist das Hotel mit allen wünschenswerten Möglichkeiten für Familien und Sportler ausgestattet und deshalb unserer Meinung nach für einen Sport- und Erholungsurlaub in einmaliger Bergwelt optimal geeignet!

Alle Mitarbeiter im Hotel sind freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Essen ist vielseitig frisch und lecker sowie ist für jeden was dabei. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und ansprechend. Das Schwimmbad und die Sauna sind sehr schön. Das Freizeitangebot ist vielseitig und wird mit der Hochkönigkarte noch verbessert da alle Lifte und Busse kostenlos genutzt werden können. Die ganze Umgebung ist zum Wandern und Ausspannen sehr gut geeignet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten ein schönes großes Studio, der Bergblick leider durch einen Baum verstellt. Ganz ruhig in der Nacht, sehr nette Crew, großes Lob für die riesige Photovoltaik am Dach mit 170 kWp. Essen eher durchschnittlich, aber gut für die vielen Kinder im Haus (Würstel, Pasta, Pommes Frittes). Negativ: “Musik” Gedudel im Restaurant störend.

die Anlage ist ausgezeichnet. Wir haben dass all inclusive nicht in Anspruch genommen, aber es gibt jeden Abend 3-4 verschiedene Essen, außerdem ist das Frühstück, die Jause und das Getränk bis 9 Uhr abends includiert. ( auch Schnäpse), außerdem gibt es noch einen Kinderclub.
