Hotel Central Palace

I had booked a room in this hotel for my first night in Marrakech. It was a double room for me and my boyfriend, we are both italians with italian passports, but my boyfriend has an arabic last name which was apparently common in Morocco. The receptionist forced us to cancel our reservation because apparently it was against moroccan law and left us with no option than find another Hotel. He suggested a Riad that would do us a favor as apparently we were against the law. The new hotel tried to charge us double the prize of the first one even if it was all dirty, old and basically empty. Turns out, the receptionist was just trying to fool us, as the Hotel was overbooked and he did not have the room we had booked. In fact, as all the other hotels and Riads we stayed at in Morocco, they told us that having a foreign passport, moroccan laws cannot be applied. This is what I tried to tell the boy since the beginning but he insisted that even of the passport was italian, my boyfriend had a Moroccan name and only that was enough to break the law that forbids unmarried moroccan citizens to book and sleep in the same room with a person of the opposite sex. So he forced us to cancel out reservation and left us with no other choice than stay at the Riad he suggested which was squallid.

A beautiful riad on a nice central location in Marrakech. What really set this place apart from the rest is their helpful staff. This place feels like a safehaven for questions and support in the chaotic city. The staff at the reception speaks very good english and will put in the extra mile to help you out. Even after a week of touring through Marocco, the staff recognises me and this place was kind enough to help me with my booking for my flight home and I could leave my bags here till my plane left eventhough I didn't stay in their Riad anymore. This is a kind of genuine friendliness that anybody could really use during their stay in Marocco!

The location is in the middle of the centrum and the beds were okay to sleep on, those are the good things about it. Something went wrong with our booking so we could not have a private shower. Which would be fine, if the shared shower and toilet were not absolutely disgusting. The bedsheets had stains, when asking for new onces, they did not take us serious and explained that ‘they are clean, just old’. The rooms are just not clean. You can hear quite a lot noise from outside, so take some earplugs if possible:) It has such great potential, but feels like nobody cares for it.

Le personnel est adorable, très à l’écoute et volontaire quant à nous faire passer un bon séjour. Le cadre est beau. Rapport qualité/prix au top. Et, surtout, l’hôtel se trouve à 2 minutes de la place Jamaa. Tout était propre, le lit est refait chaque jour malgré le prix très très abordable.

Hôtel certe proche de la célèbre place Djema El Fna, mais les photos et le descriptif sont mensongers ! Si le patio est très beau, la chambre qui nous a été affectée était exigue de 7m2 contre 15 annoncés! la salle de bain d'un autre temps avec des odeurs d'égouts, le plafond écaillé, une prise électrique unique au travers de la tête de lit, des fissures partout...bref il est inadmissible de louer ce type de chambre ! Nous sommes partis au bout d'une nuit pour un autre hôtel !

Hotel nel complesso buono,carino e pulito in posizione centralissima. bagni condivisi troppo pochi per il numero di clienti (uno solo a piano per almeno 10 ospiti se non di più. Soprattutto sono stati scorretti e furbi: al momento di pagare il tizio alla reception mi ha confermato la cifra corretta in euro,ma nel pagare con la valuta locale ho scoperto successivamente (al momento non ho fatto il cambio per fiducia..) che ha rincarato quasi del 30% SENZA ALCUN MOTIVO E QUINDI VOLUTAMENTE!!! Peggio poi è stato il dopo.. tramite booking ho segnalato la cosa,la struttura ha riconosciuto l'errore e si è offerta di pagarmi tramite voucher da usare da solo se tornassi o addirittura in contanti (secondo loro consegnandoli ad eventuali miei amici che sarebbero andati lì,cosa assolutamente ridicola....),non rispondendo più alla mia richiesta di avere bonifico... Tant'è che il rimborso mi è stato effettuato direttamente da booking.... per questo il voto in totale è zero rovinando quello che di buono hanno!

Hotel muy céntrico y bien ubicado, tiene justo al lado el Hotel Ali, una de las casas de cambio mejor valoradas. También es donde se suele quedar para iniciar los free tours. El hotel no incluye desayuno pero en la misma plaza puedes desayunar por 3 euros en restaurante Snack Toubkal con un buen servicio y buena comida. Con respecto a las habitaciones indicar que hay diferentes, yo las económicas ni me lo planetaria ya que no tienen aire acondicionado y a nosotros en octubre nos hizo un calor que casi ni pudimos dormir, mucho cuidado con esto y elegir bien las habitaciones.

Se fosse possibile, darei 6 stelle! Ci aspettavamo un qualcosa di medio-basso livello visto il prezzo basso pagato, rispetto ad altre offerte nella stessa posizione, e invece ci siamo ritrovati in un Riad meraviglioso. Semplice ma curato e pulito. Avevamo prenotato una doppia con bagno in camera e ci è stata assegnata una suite, con hammam privato! Camera pulita, spaziosa e letti comodi, cosa importante quando si viaggia per sentirsi a proprio agio! C'è una terrazza con vista panoramica e dei lettini prendisole, ottimi per rilassarsi sorseggiando del the dopo una giornata nella caotica medina. La posizione è ottima, a 2 minuti da Jemaa-el-fna ma situato in una stradina tranquilla, sarà stata per la posizione della nostra camera ma non abbiamo avuto alcun disturbo dal trambusto della città. Lo staff è stato la ciliegina sulla torta! Gentili, disponibili, cordiali, educati, sorridenti.. Jaunaud (spero si scriva correttamente) è stato come un amico per noi. Ci siamo fermati 4 notti ma sarei stata felicissima di passarci più tempo. Grazie di tutto!

Très bon accueil, cadre chaleureux. merci Jaouad, à l'écoute du besoin de la clientèle. On est arrivé plus tard que prévu. À l'aube même, il s'est débrouillé pour nous chercher un parking à 2h du matin et nous a beaucoup aidé pour le reste du séjour
