Riad Jibril

We had the pleasure of staying at Riad Jibril during our visit to Marrakech, and what a delightful experience it was! Our host, Iheb, truly deserves the title of a legend. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, he made our stay memorable. Whilr it may not be a 5-star hotel, it provided a unique and authentic Moroccan experience that exceeded our expectations. The riad itself, with its traditional architecture, was clean and inviting. The highlight was undoubtedly the serene terrace, a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. One evening, we indulged in sheesha on the terrace, a delightful experience that only cost us around 70 MAD. We also had the pleasure of dining on the terrace, where we enjoyed delicious tagines at a very reasonable price of 60 MAD each. The chef's culinary skills were truly impressive. The breakfast served each morning was traditional and homely too! What made our stay truly special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Iheb and the staff. We arrived as guests but left feeling like friends. We were even befriended by the two adorable resident kittens, Sofia, the long-haired tabby, and Leena, the ginger kitten. Their presence added an extra touch of charm to our stay. The location of Riad Jibril was perfect, and the camel in front of the money exchange served as an excellent landmark. The riad was on the opposite alleyway, second door, making it easy to find. We especially enjoyed its proximity to Kasbah, near Zeitun Cafe, a favorite spot of ours to visit at night. The lantern-lit terrace at the cafe provided majestic views that made our evenings even more memorable.

Excellent location, clean, friendly staff

Nous avons choisi ce Riad sur recommandation de notre fils qui a séjourné deux jours en novembre 23, malheureusement notre expérience était décevante à plusieurs niveau: 1- Aucune indication pour arriver à la bonne adresse, même pas sur la porte de la résidence, nous avons perdu beaucoup de temps pour retrouver le Riad sachant que nous avons nos bagages et que nous étions dans un état de fatigue extrême suite à un long voyage. 2- A notre arrivée vers 17h il n'y avait personne à la réception il a fallut attendre longtemps et téléphoner à plusieurs reprises pour trouver quelqu'un. 3- On nous a proposé une chambre au rez-de-chaussée qui ne peut être qu'un dépôt aménagé avec une fenêtre qui donne sur un salon extérieur commun, donc aucune intimité. On nous a refusé le changement de chambre sous prétexte que toutes les autres étaient occupées, il a fallu de longues discussions pour pouvoir avoir une autre chambre au premier étage qui n'était meilleure puisque sa fenêtre donne sur la chambre en face. 4- La propreté n'était pas au rendez-vous, les serviettes mouillées , la douche bouchée, des cafards qui circulent dans la salle de bain et dans la chambre. 5- Nous avons demandé un petit déjeuner la veille car nous prenons l'avion tôt le lendemain, on nous a donné un plateau avec quelques sous tasses de confitures de fromage de miel, une brique de jus déjà entamée, ce repas nous a conduit à la pharmacie de l'aéroport pour acheter un antidiarrhéique!

Zarezerwowaliśmy ten uroczy RIAD na weekend urodzinowy, dla 20 osób, który zapowiadał się świątecznie!!!! nie wspominając już o NIEPROFESJONALNEJ, AGRESYWNEJ i po prostu Wstydliwej postawie prawego ramienia KARIM. Rezerwacja została dokonana u kierowników tego RIADu bez poinformowania nas o ustaleniach dotyczących odbioru, a w szczególności o zanieczyszczeniu hałasem. Rzeczywiście, w żadnym wypadku nie będzie akceptowany hałas PO godzinie 22:00, pod rygorem wymachiwania garnkami i patelniami przez sąsiada i wezwania policji. Trudno dotrzymać tego harmonogramu, przy urodzinach zaplanowanych na 20 osób, kiedy jesteśmy zainstalowani na tarasie na dachu blisko sąsiadów, a nasz posiłek jest serwowany o 22:00. RÓWNIEŻ wieczorem wykazaliśmy się zdolnościami adaptacyjnymi w obliczu tego nieprzewidzianego zdarzenia i dlatego przenieśliśmy imprezę do pierwszego salonu, aby zmniejszyć zanieczyszczenie hałasem. Mimo tego skargi były nadal obecne i coraz bardziej zjadliwe, musieliśmy ponownie przenieść się do ostatniego salonu na parterze, aby w końcu wyłączyć muzykę i szeptać. Ostatnią propozycją było zakończenie wieczoru w sali maksymalnie 15m2 lub 20 osób. =＞ Czas wieczorny 0:30 KIEROWNIK KARIM w końcu pojawił się w Riadzie w agresywny i groźny sposób o 3 nad ranem. Powiedział nam, że następnego ranka musi opuścić Riad i otrzymać zwrot pieniędzy. Ten brak profesjonalizmu w obliczu zachowań pod wpływem alkoholu jest nie do zniesienia, i brak szacunku dla prywatyzacji tych miejsc na 3 dni. Zrozumiesz, że jeśli planujesz urodziny, OPŁATA TEGO RIAD. Jednakże wielkie gratulacje dla obecnego personelu, dla którego nie pozostaje nam nic innego, jak tylko pogratulować: IHED i DAHOUD!

The hotel is basic without a pool however it is very clean and well kept and the hotel owner iheb is very friendly and helpful. He printed our boarding passes for us after forgetting to print them ourselves. Its also a 10 minute walk to the main markets and lots of food options surrounding the hotel. Would return here for how cheap it is. Happy with our experience thankyou

We were actually relocated to Riad Jibril because of an "electricity issue" with another hotel we were supposed to be staying at. Although the hotel is rated 3 stars, in reality, it is a lot less than that. The WiFi was unreliable, the TV didn't work, the breakfast was dreadful, the beds were made from wooden pallets and there were cockroaches and leaking air conditioning. If you want the experience of staying in a riad there are plenty of others out there that are rated 3 stars that are a lot better than this one. I suspect that this hotel is also used as a scam and I would advise steering well clear if this hotel is shown on any holiday website.

We spend 5 nights in Riad Jibril, abd we were very happy and we will come back. Nice place at 5mn walk from the square, staff very frendly, not à 5* hôtel but à clean and beautiful guest house. They organise airport transfert & all kinds of excursions. Thank you ihab & your staff. Alex

The rooms were NOT clean contrary to other reviews. There were stains all over the bedding and we also found insects on the beds. This was after waiting 3 hours for the rooms to be cleaned on arrival. The air conditioning units were only working in 3/6 rooms that were booked and there was a sewage stench coming from them. The staff namely the on site manager Iheb got very rude and aggressive when we contacted the main owner about the issues and was reluctant to address the above issues. We ended up moving to a different hotel a few hours after arriving. He was very happy to get rid of us as he knew we weren’t going to be get a full refund! When we did apply for a refund they lied about everything. Would not recommend at all. Better off spending a bit more for a riad/ hotel with basic amenities and hygiene levels.
