Palais Riad Berbère

In one sentence… Palais Riad Berbère exceeded all of our expectations of service, comfort, hospitality and value for money. We visited in the first week of October 2024, and enjoyed temperatures around 35 deg C. This country riad is located on the outskirts of Marrakesh, with the city being reached easily by taxi quickly arranged by Patrick or his staff. Return taxis are easily found in the city taxi ranks, although we found a driver and kept his mobile number to hand. Trips into the local desert etc. were easily arranged by the riad too. Our stay was enhanced by the attention and friendliness of Patrick and his staff. Customer service here is excellent. We had difficulties with cash withdrawals from ATMs in the city, but Patrick simply provided cash and put it onto our account. This was very useful; however, I would imagine that the hotel does not carry cash at all times. My advice is take a good backup bundle of your own currency as there are reasonable and fair exchanges in the city. We’re British so had some GBP with us, not enough though! Lesson learned/shared? Our room was clean and spacious but please don’t expect ‘Four Seasons’ splendour. Instead settle into the essence of comfortable rural Moroccan living. The paintwork may be a little tired and the bathroom properly fitted and fundamental but, the bed was very comfortable and everything worked as it should. The hotel was clean throughout, the large swimming pool and garden well managed and equipped. The open kitchen facing onto the garden provided good food at fair prices, including an excellent breakfast (we were B&B guests), all provided by a cheerful and friendly staff. We also enjoyed using our French language skills, which we found most useful too. Patrick speaks excellent English, as do his front of house staff. Oumaima also deserves a mention, being friendly, polite and most helpful at all times. Should you go to Palais Riad Berbère to enjoy the best of Marrakesh and this area of Morocco? Yes! Expect a warm welcome, comfort and great service for a fair price. I hope that we return someday.

J'ai séjourné en famille en début février, ce Riad est très bien situé en dehors de Marrakech ville ou le règne du calme et des oiseaux donne une atmosphère de relaxation totale. Il est très bien équipé avec 2 piscine. Une grande piscine extérieure de +- 20 mètres et une piscine chauffée à l'intérieur. Le personnel est génial grâce au propriétaire qui "LUI" est super génial. Ils sont extrêmement gentils. Je ne vous parle même pas des repas et pt dej super frais et préparés sur place au moment même du pt déj. C'est un Riad super propre. Je conseil vivement de se restaurer au moins une fois tous les 2 jours, c'est 1000x mieux qu'aux restaurants et moins cher, vous mangerez comme en famille avec de la vraie nourriture marocaine et sans protocole ni chichi ni bluff. Vraiment à conseiller parce que loger dans un Riad en ville c'est assez bruyant et pas Sûre que ce soit aussi chouette que chez ce propriétaire nommé "Patrick". En tout cas, j'y retournerai encore cette année peut être plusieurs fois. Voilà ! J'espère avoir été le plus objectif et honnête possible avec mon avis. Je termine en notant " Merci Patrick pour ta gentillesse et on sent que tu fais ça avec coeur et merci pour ton personnel qui te suit de la même manière "

Si vous recherchez de l’intimité, de la détente, du calme et être chouchouté…c’est l’endroit idéal. Accueillis par Patrick et son meilleur ami à quatre pattes nous avons séjourné 5 jours dans ce havre de paix. Le personnel est aux petits soins et attentif. Propre, espaces verts entretenus et nourriture délicieuse, vous ne pouvez qu’apprécier un séjour la bas. Pour ma part, le même endroit de Marrakech de part la gentillesse la simplicité et la propreté. (Si je devais critiquer une chose, ce serait la température de l’eau, je ne me suis pas baignée mais les enfants oui, trop froide en période fin avril)
