Terre des Etoiles

I would love to give Terre Des Etoiles 5 stars but unfortunately I didn’t have an amazing experience. And I love the eco part of the camp. To start out with the positives I had been emailing Dina for a few months as my original stay was cancelled due to the lockdown in Morocco. They were really friendly and helpful over email correspondence and assisted me with transfers etc. On arrival I had a warm welcome and was shown to my tent (explorer). I’m not a camping person but this seemed sufficient for one night although there was no hot water any my lamps/electric didn’t work. Lunch at the camp was super expensive (£35) and there was no option for a La carte. I only fancied a snack/salad so didn’t make the best use of the buffet. However, there were a lot of options and all freshly prepared, the chef was also a delight, so if you come here for lunch come with an empty stomach! The staff were amazingly attentive to the point they’d rush over if I tried to pour water for myself. Dinner was fine. Only one option for both starter, main and dessert, but my sever did accommodate my request for a veggie main. Once again, the staff at the bar were amazing and friendly. My main issue was with the male receptionist who thought it was fine to try and proposition me for sex when I was enjoying a fire outside my tent after midnight. I gave him the brush off but he kept persisting for a long time which is not fine. I don’t mind a chancer but the sleaziness and persistence was not ok. Especially as I was the only person that night staying in my camp section. It was so uncomfortable that I wanted to leave that night but there was no where to go (or a lock on a door!). All I wanted was a chilled night enjoying the stars with a wine and a book, but he ruined this. Not cool. I did not feel safe and I do not say this lightly. I did mention this on check out the next morning but there was no response or follow up. It was a great experience until then. So, I would recommend this camp to groups and couples but not solo female travellers which is an absolute shame as it is a spectacular place with amazing staff (par one!).

We stayed here 2 nights. On the first night our toilet clearly had a problem and was leaking : we told the staff the next day. They said it was fixed. Same problem happened next night. Instead of being sorry for the unpleasant scene and smell (yes I do expect toilets to work whilst paying over 200e a night) the manager has accused us of urinating outside the toilets. So here we go : photos to prove that the leak comes from the toilet. Bizarre he accused us in writing once we left, and not to our face, when we complained for the second time at check out (he then offered a bottle of wine out of the 3 we had to settle for at check out, which we thought was pretty slim going given the complaint we were expressing, but little did we know he actually thought we were urinating on purpose !! ). Extremely unprofessional, dishonest and rude on his behalf. To my comments about : - the shame for an eco lodge not to have a vegetarian option his answer was : Moroccan cuisine is rich in meat. (It is also rich in vegetarian food....) - slow service, his response was because of Ramdam, and insinuated that we should not come to this country if we were not ready to accept the different culture. (we are all for respecting other cultures, we waited on purpose to come to the table at 8pm on our second night to take into consideration there 30' pause to break fast, even then the service was very slow as it was in the morning. Besides we also overheard the manager complain about the slow service himself on that eve, so a bit of honesty would be appreciated ! Very aggressive, disrespectful and strange way to deal with your customers

ATTENTION ARNAQUE !!!! Remboursements non respectés malgré le contrat les y obligeant à fuir ABSOLUMENT !!!!! Malgré quelques échange, plus de réponse par email de TERRE DES ETOILES ou de HABITAS CARAVAN AGAFAY !!!!!

Today we came on the recommendation of a friend, I wanted to celebrate my special day in a special place, and said and done. Nothing like the energy of the desert, a super charming and magical place. We came today to eat and tofo what they served us was delicious, just to say that we poor vegetarians put vegetables in trajine plus the same sautéed vegetables, it is not very consistent but those vegetables from the Lodge's organic garden are very rich. Just saying they could add some chickpeas or tofu or cheese or legumes something to leave with a happier tummy. Lovely service and I like that they have water in glass, bravo for that. The horses are very healthy and well cared for, I do not know why they have the donkey there tied to the sun. I'd rather see him loose in a pen. The wonderful place. We will repeat and recommend without a doubt. Mustafa muy simpático y amable.

Un endroit de rêve que je n'oublierai jamais ! A vivre une fois dans sa vie. Dommage que ce soit fermé ou en rénovation ?par contre si jamais ça devrait ré ouvrir j'aimerais tant y retourner. Allez y c'est une très belle expérience...

Me ha encantado la estancia en Terre des etoiles. El personal ha sido muy amable y servicial en todo momento, ayudándonos en cualquier cosa que le pedíamos. Yo no tomo carne y en el Menú de noche no tuvieron problema en hacerme una tajine vegetal muy rica. El menú no es muy variado pero es correcto y bien presentado. Sin duda un sitio para volver encantada.

Endroit magnifique, calme, prix très correct, accueil rien à dire....et c'est un endroit eco responsable et cela on n'apprécie beaucoup. Bravo . A la hauteur de sa reputation. Des amis nous avaient conseillé d'y aller déjeuner, nous n'avons pas été déçu

A éviter absolument : méfiez vous des promesses de cette structure incompétente capable d'annuler au dernier moment une réservation pour 45 personnes venues de France spécialement pour cette soirée !

Que dire sur cet attrape nigauds à touristes pour lequel je me suis laisser prendre.Apparement les propriétaires ont changés début Octobre. Sur le lieu un désert de caillou fait office de base pour ce lieu de tourisme, aucun charme que celui d'un campement sous la tente pour ceux qui désire gouter à un semblant "d'Africa tour" à plus de 300 € la nuit. Bon bref pas terrible. J'ai oublié que pour s'y rendre il faut débourser prés de 70€...en Taxi de Marrakech. ( mais c'est votre choix dixit le manager de ce lieu...) Le meilleur est à venir lorsque nous avons commencer à poser des questions sur notre super diner du soir à 575 dirhams soit un repas normalement gastronomique marocain. Nous commençons par une explication de la carte( que nous n'avions jamais vu avant...) pas très claire pour arriver sur un choix proposé d'une soupe de potiron ou une salade de betterave en entrée... là on commence à rêver , la suite souris d'agneau avec des cheveux d'ange mais sans sauce car plus en cuisine .... ensuite Tajine de légume mais ,plus disponible ... et pour le dessert une pâtisserie Pavlova. Bon autant vous dire que nous avons essayer de faire comprendre au personnel et aussi à l'arrogant manager en place que nous n'étions pas venu pour un diner digne d'un simple petit restaurant sans envergure au prix indiqué. Nous avons décidé de partir sans manger, en réglant les cocktails que nous avions pris mais qui étaient compris dans le repas ...Alors fuyez cet attrape touristes, ou la seule bonne note est l'accueil du personnel. Quand à monsieur le manager rester dans vos bottes et continuer comme cela, vous êtes loin de représenter la gentillesse, et l'accueil marocain , vous faites très mal au tourisme de votre pays, honte à vous.
