Riad Dollar des Sables & Spa

We stayed here for the last two days of our trip to Morocco. The Riad is stunning and offers a lovely, calming retreat from the markets located close by. It's location is very close to the city markets and offers a wide selection of restaurants and things to do within a very short walk. The host was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We were also able to book a hammam treatment through him for the in house spa. The facilities were fantastic and the cleanliness of the Riad and rooms was immaculate and we felt that the room was equipped for everything that we might need. We especially liked our terrace room. The breakfast was fantastic and contained both local good and in house baked pastries that were fantastic. The hammam treatment we received was fantastic and was the perfect way to end our trip in Morocco.

It's my second night at this riad, this is a hidden gem! The decor is beautiful, use of Neutrals with a splash of colour, the terrace is nice and i cant say enough about the staff, they are kind and attentive which adds to the intimate vibe of staying in a riad. It's a short walk from the main jama el fna square you have to pass through some small alleyways but we've had no problems. :)

We arranged for the private transfer from the airport and I’m glad we did as we would never have found it if they’d not sent a man to meet us with our bags! This riad really is a hidden gem, tucked away from the chaos of the Medina! Upon arrival we were welcomed with a mint tea which was delicious and then shown to our room. The entire riad is gorgeous, very chic, clean. It’s surprising how quiet it is for saying it’s only a 5 minute walk from the square. The staff are all lovely and accommodating. Couldn’t fault the stay, would definitely return.

What an outstanding visit! This riad is BEAUTIFUL! The location is perfection. The a/c was fantastic in an extremely hot July temp. Breakfast was great. Alina and Ali were fabulous hosts, so kind, welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was well looked after. I stayed here with my two kids (8 & 10yrs), my sister had a separate room with her 8yr old. The children loved it, the whole place is magical, cool, calm and stunning… what a hidden gem. We cannot recommend this place enough, to anyone looking for somewhere very special to stay in the heart of Marrakesh. We will be back! This place is one of the most amazing places, not only in Morocco, but in the world. The hospitality that you feel here and the effort of the people working is family. The food prepared here is the superior cuisine. And thank to our lovely hosts we enjoyed everything. Thank you Des Sables

Definitely a hidden gem in the Medina as the treck to go from where our van dropped us with our luggage to the Riad was certainly a memorable one. I recall my daughter's eyes going "where the heck have my parents chosen to sleep", the crowded shopping alleys, then the narrow alley to go in to, even a narrower and darker one, until you reach this door and knock on it....voila paradise inside the Medina. Edouard and his wife are an amazing couple and they were always in a great disposition to help and provide indications as to where to go and what to do. It is definitely a must experience in life to find a Riad in the Medina and stay there, and for sure Riad Dollar Des Sables gets my vote as an amazing place to stay.

We have just returned from a week in Marrakesh staying at the Riad Dollar Des Sables and cannot recommend highly enough. Karim and the team made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The riad has been refurbished to a high standard and the location is perfectly placed in the heart of the medina but tucked away from the noise of the souks. Karim helped us organise a day out to the Atlas mountains, recommended a number of places to eat and even escorted us to our airport transfer on our last day. The riad also offers a lovely sun terrace up on the roof where we spent a day relaxing and catching some rays!

The riad has been newly refurbished to a very high standard. It is truly exquisite a great reflection of the French owner. Edouard was extremely hospitable and organised airport transfers and to a recommendation restaurant seen on the bbc. The breakfast was very ample and good quality. We asked for extra fruit which was provided. There is a lovely breakfast room on the lower floor by the plunge pool and waterfall. The top floor boasts a great sun terrace and covered seating area which is very private. It is in very close distance to the medina bur we were met from the six seater transport and suitcases were carried for us. Literally two minutes from wonderful local restaurants and very safe the evening . There is a massage room which we used and I can recommend the treatment. Definitely hoping to return next year… a wonderful tranquil retreat. A big thank you to Ali who was just very helpful and always available.

Excellent riad - nestled right in the middle of the souks but the biggest shock was just how quiet it was once off the main street, could not hear any noise whatsoever which was amazing. The staff themselves are absolutely fantastic and very welcoming, we arranged a transfer through them to collect us and are glad we did as it may be a little difficult to find the first time. A lovely French father and son run the riad and meet you in the main square from your transfer to escort you to the riad, we were served fresh mint tea and given water upon arrival. They have recently refurbished the entire riad after taking it over to an excellent standard whilst maintaining the Moroccan theme, they offer excursions, hammam and other spa treatments and even offer dinner and food throughout the day along with drinks. Our room was exceptionally clean and very big with an excellent shower and big comfy bed. The value of this riad for the price is incredible and I would recommend it to anybody, absolute 10/10 and amazing hosts. Just to clarify for some as a couple of images may be confusing, the riad does have a lovely plunge pool which was put in during the renovation works.
