Greet Hotel Marseille Centre Saint Charles

Stayed here when watching Wales at the rugby World Cup. Was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but found it absolutely great. Super location near the station and about a 15 minute walk from the old port. Room was clean and spacious, beds were very comfortable and we had a nice bathroom, with a wet area shower. Breakfast is simple, but fresh and adequate, only one surprise in France, no croissants. Loved the room it was served in and the random furniture, crockery and cutlery. Staff were really friendly and always helpful. It is a noisy area, but it’s M****ille, but with the window shut, you were not aware of it. I would definitely use again.

The hotel was about a 10 minute, easy walk from the station. On arrival I thought I’d gone in the wrong entrance as the reception also doubles as a bar area but the staff were friendly and welcoming and I was soon checked in. I had booked a family room as this was all that was available although I was travelling on my own. There was a double bed and bunk beds with very little floor space left. There was also a small desk (but no chair) and a small hanging area with about 5 hangers and some shelves. The room would be very cramped if at full capacity with the only place to sit being the double bed. There was one useable socket (another wouldn’t take my adapter) and a double usb only outlet. The bathroom by contrast was quite large with a good shower over the bath. Both bathroom and bedroom had opening windows. The breakfast was continental style with cereals, cheese, meats and bread, pastries and crepes. Also freshly made orange juice which was delicious . Almond and oat milk was available. The hotel was centrally situated within walking distance of the main sights and just a couple of minutes walk from Noilles metro if you want to use that. Overall this is a budget hotel but is perfectly decent for a short stay.

Great location, nice walk to the waterfront with many dining options and vibrant nightlife. Short walking distance from the train and bus station.

The hotel policy is not very customer friendly and the staff was not very cooperative.

The property was perfectly fine for my purposes. Economical. Conveniently located. About a five to seven minute walk from the M****ille harbor front. The AC in the building doesn’t keep up with the demand on the hottest of nights. But as I said, it was perfectly adequate, especially for the price.

I was excited by booking this hotel on the Accor App as it looked amazing and it was very inexpensive. I appreciate this is a budget brand and I wasn't sure what I was expecting. I had just stayed in a 2 star Ibis Styles which was amazing, so being Accor I was expecting that level. It's not far from the train station at all and when I arrived, I wasn't greeted (pardon the pun) very enthusiastically, the guy on reception seemed a bit grumpy. I went to my room and it was basic but fine. I had a double bed, a desk and chair that looked like it was bought from a charity shop, the TV was big but no English channels sadly, the Wifi was actually ok. The bathroom was very dated circa 1980's, but did everything it needed to do. The breakfast was awful. Really really sp**** selection of breads and meats which didn't feel fresh. They had crepes and they looked a bit mouldy on the underside which put me off eating there a second morning. It was a budget hotel, I wasn't expecting a lot and the location was good. If you are wanting a convenient hotel at a budget price, this would be fine.

Loved how close this hotel was to the train station. The staff are lovely and were very helpful. Great shower after a long travel day. Good wifi. Unfortunately the air con felt no more than a fan but the hotel did its job for 1 night

Room was spacious and location was excellent for the train station and town. Room temperature was too warm but unfortunately this is centrally controlled so there was no way of adjusting it. This made for a very uncomfortable sleep. Breakfast was average.

Great family room, and easy walk to the sites.
