La Pergola ai Sassi

Chiara runs a fantastic operation. The rooms are modern, comfortable, clean and very nicely decorated ( with A/C) right in the Sasso Caveoso district of Matera. Her breakfasts, aided by her partner Rocco, were made of only wholesome and fresh local ingredients. A real indulgence. We loved visiting Matera, it is an otherworldly place, and Chiara's wonderful B and B has a phenomenal view of both the canyon and the city just a few steps away from her place. Highly recommended! Plus she was so fun to talk with, very friendly and made us feel so at home, it was a pleasure to be there. All the best to La Pergola, I am sure future guests will love it too. Chiara's B & B is truly as special as the amazing town of Matera. We felt her caring and welcoming reception as soon as we arrived from a long stressful drive from Salerno. The first thing she and her partner did was to take us to a spectacular viewpoint to show us how we could explore this extraordinary place. The B & B is beautifully constructed and designed. Our room and bathroom was immaculate, as well as being extremely clean and comfortable. Chiara also provided us with a great map of Matera with all the information we would need to enjoy our stay. We had been traveling in Italy for 55 days and had stayed in many B & B's, and the breakfast Chiara served was definitely the best, and one that they obviously took much pride in because the food, especially the bread and cheese, represented their local heritage. They were also fun to talk to, and showed a lively interest in their guests and their needs. The B & B's great location makes it easy to visit all the wonderful and historic areas of the town.

Rocco and Chiara are wonderful hosts - we really enjoyed our conversations with them each morning! They also put out an incredible breakfast spread of foccacia, cheese, pastries and fresh fruit each morning. The B&B is located in a great area - within just a few minutes walk, you are in the heart of the city. Matera is in an unbelievable city, unlike any we have ever been to. We loved our 3 night stay here.

Un B&B consigliato a tutti. Dal momento in cui arrivi al momento in cui riparti, i due proprietari ti seguono con attenzione e ti consigliano su tutto quello che c' è da visitare. Camere pulite e confortevoli in un bel panorama; colazioni super abbondanti con prodotti tipici; parcheggio custodito a pochi metri. Il tutto ad un paio di minuti dal centro e dai mitici sassi materani.

Stanze e bagni molto puliti e curati nei dettagli. Prima colazione eccellente, a base di prodotti freschi locali. Chiara ed il marito sono molto disponibili ed attenti, pronti a dare cnsigli. Esperienza piú che positiva

Siamo stati con amici per una breve visita a Matera. I titolari Chiara e Rocco sono stati ospitali e il posto era molto pulito. Da sottolineare la colazione con tutti i prodotti tipici locali a km zero.

Posto meraviglioso!!! I proprietari, Chiara e Rocco, davvero gentili e disponibili. Ci hanno spiegato e dato indicazioni tramite cartina. La nostra stanza PULITISSIMA davvero bella e piena di storia. Colazione ottima a base di prodotti locali e freschi e qs fa la differenza. Ci siamo sentiti accolti e coccolati. Matera è favolosa. Grazie Chiara e a Rocco, persone speciali

Abbiamo soggiornato 2 notti in questa deliziosa struttura nel cuore dei Sassi. Chiara e Rocco sono delle persone splendide, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Colazione super, con prodotti tipici di eccellente qualità. Bellissima esperienza

Un B&B meraviglioso!!L'accoglienza dei proprietari è stata calorosa.Ci hanno subito dato indicazioni sul parcheggio( tra l' altro comodissimo e vicinissimo) e ci hanno dato qualche dritta importante per la visita di Matera. Camera spaziosa e pulitissima,colazione super abbondante con prodotti tipici in compagnia della sig.ra Chiara e del sig.Rocco che ci hanno fatto compagnia con la massima disponibilità e cordialità. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo,consigliatissimo!
