Radha Cottage

I recently visited Radha Cottage with friends, and our experience was truly memorable. We stayed in the Heritage Bungalow, which perfectly blends charm and authenticity. The structure, with its preserved flooring and four-poster beds, gives you a genuine taste of history. One of our rooms was non-AC, and while we were initially unsure, we quickly realized the cool, pleasant atmosphere made air conditioning unnecessary. The highlight of our stay was the delicious Maharashtrian cuisine. Every meal was incredible, but the puran poli in ghee stood out—absolutely divine! If you’re looking to experience the real beauty of Matheran, Radha Cottage is highly recommended. I’ve already booked my next stay with family!

Had a great and comfortable experience at Radha Cottage. As I was a first time solo traveller, Mr. Narendra ji helped and guided me a lot to make my stay & trip comfortable. He is very polite and kind. Staff’s behaviour was also very good. It’s a beautiful property. Rooms are clean. Overall, it was my one of my best stays ever.

### Review Very well managed and in good condition for a heritage property. Rooms are quite big (at least the one I stayed in). The food was really excellent. It is close to viewpoints such as One Tree Hill and Alexander Point. The manager, Mr. Narendra More, was very helpful. The only point I was unhappy about was that the bed was far too hard for me. Mr. More did arrange for a layer of bedding on top, but it didn’t help much. There is good WiFi with 30+ mbps in the room. I could do video calls and work quite effectively. Mobile coverage was almost non-existent. Most smartphones can now receive normal calls over WiFi, so this is not much of an issue. Overall, it's a good place to stay with excellent food, helpful staff, and fast WiFi, making it a great choice for both relaxation and work.

Highlights of our stay: 1) Clean Rooms and Clean surroundings: The rooms and bathrooms are super clean and dry. The bedsheets are also clean and hygienic. No plastic seen anywhere in the surroundings! 5 Stars for that!! 2) Lush Green Forest Area: The Resort is surrounded by lush green forest. This helps the overall temperature to remain very cool during the afternoon as well. The evenings are pleasant. 3) Delicious Food: Their Maharashtrian cuisine is the best and super delicious. They serve local vegetables and no gujrathi or punjabi food is served that is the most important reason why I am going to visit Radha Cottage once every year from now onwards. No words can express how happy I was with the food. Puran Poli, Theecha, Methi, other leafy vegetables, Gavar, Papdi all these vegetables which are local and I loved the taste for the first time. 4) Helpful Staff: Everyone from the team was very helpful and always smiling. They never said no for anything. I loved the stay and I am coming again for sure. Recommended
