Excellent experience. The owner could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The room was snug but welcoming and well appointed and the breakfast experience was really special. We will return as we did not have time to sample the cakes in the tearoom on this occasion and they looked delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Needs a lot of attention to the garden transport links ok breakfast amazing one of the best ever the bar closed at 5.00pm no pubs in walking distances train station just round the corner every hour to Matlock plenty of nice wine bars

The room was very nice and comfortable. The parking was across a busy street in a small car park , specially used by customers.

A lovely and intimate place to stay. Room was clean and very comfortable, breakfast was amazing. A great location if you want to have some quiet time in the Derbyshire Dales and want to enjoy the outdoors. Canal just 2 minute walk which is great for bike rides abs walks.

A fantastic stay, we were made very welcome and the room was incredibly comfortable. Huge bathroom, akin to staying in a palace!
Breakfast was amazing (we didn't need lunch!), and the service was top-notch; we can't fault it.
Both of us would definitely stay here again, very highly recommended.

Our hotel room was suitably warm, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The bathroom facilities and proportions were generous, and attractive.
The breakfast was delicious and faultless.
Just a couple of tiny things, the bathroom door didn't fully close and there is a permanent green light by the door which lights the room during the night, which unfortunately disturbs sleep.
Otherwise a most enjoyable place to stay.
We'll certainly be back.
