Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort

Заселяли 3 часа. Обед готовили 1,5 часа. В номере не работают лампочки и капает что-то на голову в туалете... Наверное конденсат центрального кондиционера. На ресепшн не дозвонится с первого раза, никогда. 3 раза пытались. 4 раза подходили за полотенцами для пляжа. Первый раз в 18 часов, бассейн работает до 20 решили освежится, но полотенца уже не выдают. Второй раз в 9 утра их не было никого там, потом днем 2 раза говорят кончились)). Самое лучшее что там есть это бар, но это не стоит 50 тысяч за ночь, от слова совсем. Сервис как у тройки, а то и хуже. Не рекомендую.

A heavenly hotel with a 6 star service of staff. This is how I would describe my stay. It was beyond my expectation. Seven years ago, I first visited the hotel but had a bad experience. But this time my stay was a heavenly one. Jay, the guru , he is a professional employee and knows his job and knows how to bring a smile and please the guests. He remained with us till our departure and bid us good bye to a promise to be back again. He also gave us late check out with his team Merry and Sawan on 21 april. Micheal helped me when I was not feeling well during check in. Bholah welcomed us in our room 3207 on 19 april. At the zanzibar, Mackenzie prepared nice cocktails for me. I had a medical condition which Stephane and Jennifer from Savannah Restaurant helped me Even, Vymal from Zanzibar helped me and set my table for me to have my breakfast. I will never forget these people who have helped knowing knowing my medical condition. There is 1 lady whom I will also never forget Yovishni from Zafrani restaurant, she made sure we were well served and looked after me and my family. She looked after us in Infinity Blue restaurant as well. Vayraj, my son's favourite Ronaldo also served us in Infinity blue restaurant and bar and Savanna restaurant. A chef made a heart shape pizza for me on Saturday 20 april, i can't remember his name. Angelique and Anais of Savana Restaurant looked after us well. I must also salute Jean Paul who made my kids ate indian food, my daughter loved the butter chicken and my son the madras lamb curry at the Zafrani Restaurant. At the Zafrani Restaurant, the food by Chef Harijit Singh like Arijit Singh's brother which I tease him was excellent and great service by Priya and Vishesh( I was sad to know he will not be there soon, please an appeal to make him comeback) Dear Mr Jérôme Carlier, you have an excellent team, let me say family at Heritage Awali Resort. Hats off to you to have lead such a great team. Each and every staff had that magical human touch which made my stay memorable and heavenly. Only 2 suggestion if you permit Sir: please include the minibar in all inclusive package and please put a toilet faucet spray and tap to ease toiletage in toilets of all rooms.

The Island and the people are lovely! We loved the hotel and the staff who worked for our comfort. The SPA was incredibly nice and did a lot of good for our muscles. a family feeling that we take with us and look forward to the next trip to Mauritius.

This hotel is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurants are all great with a very wide choice of food. Bar service could have been more efficient in occasions. We had a ground floor sea view room which was lovely. The shower cubicle could do with a rail in it to hold onto. The outside space was very good all over the complex. We had sunbeds outside our room. All in all very spoilt. Golf course was very good too.

We visited as a family of 4 for 9 nights at Awali. Really enjoyed our time at the resort. There are various different restaurants to choose from, all with great food. The kids club was amazing for our 4 year old twins. They normally do not like to spend time at places like that, but they begged us to go again and again. So they must do something right. The room was more than big enough for all 4 of us to stay together without it feeling cramped. The view of the sunset was also fantastic from the room. There are ample water activities to choose from, most of which are free. Also you have the opportunity to play some world class golf courses as well. Great resort, can’t wait to go back again.

We have recently come back from a fantastic 10 days at Awali. We had read some unfavourable reviews before coming out and felt slight concerned - we needn’t have worried! There are too many areas to comment on but I would say that the staff across all areas such as Cbeach, Infinity Blue, Sports Centres, zafranis, Zanzibar and pool/beach services were incredible. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but the ones that come to mind across these areas are Nicholas, Oliver, Niven, Christabelle, David and Jerome. That is to name just a few but the staff are a credit to this resort. They all work incredibly hard, we saw Nicholas putting in extra shifts to make sure a wedding that was being held there went perfectly. Other areas of interest for those looking at reviews are food and drinks. The food is superb, granted we did attend a few of the additional supplement restaurants but if you didn’t want to spend the extra you didn’t need to. Our favourites were CBeach for all meal types, infinity blue for lunch and dinner, Zaffrani, Ginja and the golf grill. Special mention to chef harjit at Zaffrani, the food was fantastic and he came out each time we dined to check all was ok and if needed anything else. The drinks are also really good, South African and Italian wines which were delicious and the cocktails are all made from scratch. Make sure you go to the coco shack for delicious ones too, we did that nearly every day! Our children who are 14 and 12 had the best time, I would say that I thought a teen club was on offer here but on enquiring there didn’t seem to be one. That didn’t matter to us as there was enough to do for them and the sports staff coordinated activities such as foot golf and volley ball. Also there didn’t seem to be any snacks around the beach or pool area which having hungry kids would have been beneficial. It would be a welcomed improvement. I would recommend taking beach shoes, the beach does have a lot of washed up broken coral and we met a few families who hadn’t taken them. We also took our own snorkels too which we used a lot as the fish are ample in the reef. Don’t be put off by this, it is a stunning beach which provides the most incredible sunsets. Finally just a comment on the rooms, whilst they are large they are dated although they are very clean. They could benefit from a refurb although there are usb sockets etc which have modernised them. This is a beautiful resort and I especially like that we could roam the resort next door and use some of the restaurants there. Le Telfair is stunning. The ability to use `c beach was the main perk for us, we loved the vibe, food, staff, setting etc. Heritage Awali is a fabulous resort and we would definitely return.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. However the staff is extremely rude, especially if you don't speak French. A front of restaurant staff member at Infinity Blue actually told me to speak french and when I tried explaining that I don't speak french she didn't want to help us, luckily a waiter assisted immediately. Kids were also allowed at the bar areas which was not to pleasant. Another guest actually insisted that we move at the bar because his 4 year old was sitting there before us. Live music is very nice, but it is so loud that you can hear it accross the entire resort until after 12. Besides the kids being allowed everywhere regardless of clear adult only section rules, and the rude staff to any other foreigner than French ones, we definitely did enjoy our stay. Fantastic location and nice clean rooms with a variety of dining experiences.

We arrived at Heritage Awali towards the end of May. I was very nervous because, upon further research into Mauritius, we realised the weather in the south of the island can be very unpredictable. If you rely on weather apps, don’t – they simply are not accurate. We arrived in the morning, and the weather was terrible. The hotel staff were very welcoming and polite; they gave us drinks on arrival, and our room was soon ready. Room: Very spacious, clean, and the facilities were good. The bed wasn’t very comfortable; it was very firm for me, but this is just my opinion. They offer a minibar in the room which is topped up daily. They have tea and coffee-making facilities, including a Nespresso coffee machine, but the pods are chargeable, which is simply outrageous, to be honest. Rooms are cleaned daily, and the bedding will be changed daily if you want it to be. Restaurants: There are a few restaurants onsite, but the hotel could benefit from additional options to provide more variety. Generally speaking, the food was good, so I can’t really complain here. The Indian restaurant is adults only, which I don’t think is appropriate given the resort’s limited restaurant options. The buffet was very repetitive, despite being themed; it felt the same every day. Boma is the African experience restaurant. We didn’t try it purely because of the price. It costs 4200 Rupees per person to attend, but the hotel gives you a 1500 Rupee credit, bringing the price per person to 2700 Rupees. For a family of four, this would cost nearly £200 – a simply crazy amount of money for a BBQ. The Heritage Telfair is right next door; it would be great if we could use their restaurants. The C Beach Club, however, was simply amazing. The food, service, and environment were all excellent, and I highly recommend it. Staff: All very polite and accommodating – they cannot do enough to help you. Service: The hotel offers waiter service around the pool and bar area, but it can be quite slow, sometimes non-existent around the pool. One minute they would bring you drinks repeatedly, and then the next time you could be waiting an hour before seeing anyone. The service in the restaurants was hit and miss. We never had one meal where a drink or a meal wasn’t missing. Beach: The beach itself is very rocky and there are some sharp pieces of coral on the beach. The sea temperature is good; it’s a bit cold when you first get in, but it’s ok once in. The sea has a strong current, so caution is needed. For the most part, you can stand, but some parts you cannot. Hotel Cleanliness: Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel grounds were well maintained. The only criticism I have is the toilets by the pool. There are three of them in a block, each with AC. They were freezing cold on colder days and boiling hot on hotter days, and the smell of cigarettes was disgusting. My partner and I decided to book the Awali for our wedding a week ago with a few close friends and family. I don't think we could have asked for a better location, or better staff for our day. From the start Cosette and Jotee were on hand to arrange and organise everything, it was made so simple. I can't thank them enough. The hotel itself is stunning, a calming ambiance runs through, but not in a pretentious way, which is more to our taste. Special mention to Nicolas and Oliver who run the bars like a pro, and always make sure you are well taken care of. I had the pleasure of Tatiana doing my hair and make up for the big day. She was a dream to deal with. I didn't have any ideas of what I wanted so i let her decide what she thought would look nice. It was perfect! The restaurants are all good, including the buffet. Food is all hot and well made. My personal favourite for lunch and dinner is infinity blue, the food was incredible! Since we were getting married and having our honeymoon, we are away for several weeks so we took advantage of the laundry service. Vermilia who was the housekeeper organised everything and brought it to the room clean and folded the same day. She was lovely and always made sure we had everything we needed. With spending time with family we didn't take advantage of all the facilities on offer. But we will most certainly return and hopefully try more of it out.
