Le Jardin de Mazan

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our room was wonderful and spacious. nestled in the heart of the small village of Mazan. Eric and Agnes were so inviting and definitely helpful in giving us great suggestions on where to go and great restaurants. Eric is a wonderful chef, if you are lucky enough to be there on a night that he’s cooking. Breakfast was amazing. Be sure to rent the smallest car available for driving in France the streets are super narrow between buildings. Le Jardin de Mazan has many stairs so be aware if you have limitations. We loved it and can’t wait to go back.

A fabulous boutique bed and breakfast with occasional evening meals cooked by the owner Eric and Agnes. Lovely garden and pool rooms very well decorated in ‘shabby chic’ style in a very old ( parts are 12 13 century ) building . The owners spoke a number of languages fluently . Very welcoming a definite gem of a place. Breakfast was simple but with plenty of fresh fruit, healthy granola and assorted eggs and drinks as needed. Worth trying the evening meal if available, in our experience was definitely one of the nicest local home cooked local cuisine we had .

Le Jardin de Mazan was fantastic. The owners, who work the large home, Agnes and Aric (sp?) are extremely nice and welcoming. The property is awesome. It takes a minute to find through the narrow streets so take your time. However, once you walk in, the home and grounds are really expansive. The rooms are really large as well as the bathrooms. We toured all the rooms, since there were no other guests coming in that day, and each room is great. Breakfast is served in the large flower garden each morning. You hear all the church bells and birds while enjoying a big, freshly cooked breakfast. The room we stayed in was connected to a reading room and a pool table. It was so cool. I can't say enough about Le Jardin. They close in October but book for next year. The dining recommendations and location is perfect. You'll be super happy you stayed here. Lastly, Aric knows the area well for cyclists and touring so he will point you in the right direction! Enjoy....

It’s the perfect location. The rooms are well appointed. They provide a top notch experience with location and food. Eric and Agnes have become an extended family. This was our second visit in three years. We will recommend to all our friends and family.

Beautiful oasis perfect to explore Provence This is a fabulous place with lovely owners. It feels like a quiet oasis. We were there during a heatwave (40 degrees) but inside the rooms felt beautifully cool. We stayed in the museum room which was large, the bed was big and super comfortable. There’s a bath in the room (something my husband really wanted) and I made the assumption that there would be a walk in shower. But there isn’t, instead it’s a hand held shower in the bath so you can feel quite on display showering in the room and I didn’t master the art of not getting water everywhere. I didn’t have the breakfast but my husband said it was delicious, especially the eggs. They also do a dinner once a week which we’d read excellent reviews on. We didn’t have the dinner since it was very hot and we were having one small meal a day (this was 3 courses for €45). I felt that the owners were a little offended that we weren’t eating breakfast or the dinner. It wasn’t anything personal, just small appetites! There’s also a billiards table and board games which was fun in the evenings. Two small points to flag - there are x4 parking spaces outside the property and it’s not guaranteed that you will get a spot. But you can park nearby. You may also want a smaller car for the narrow streets. Also, worth noting that we got quite a few bites outside by the pool in the afternoon so remember some bug repellent.

We stayed here recently as we had a family wedding nearby . Choose hotel from the pictures on their website and I have to say it’s even prettier in real life . A beautifully restored French building full of character, history and charm. The garden is equally as pretty . A peaceful place to sit with a glass of wine. Eric and Agnes go above and beyond any other host we have stayed with. If he cannot arrange a taxi he will take you personally if he’s able to. Breakfast is beautifully presented full of fresh or homemade produce with a varied selection . You can help yourselves to refreshments you just record what you consume on a sheet against your room number . There is a fridge in the library if you do not finish your bottle . Bedrooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Great nights sleep. A place not to be missed if you want to stay in the area . Thank you both
