The Zarafa

Stumbled across this Balinese style private pool villa resort when looking for our last night up around Kruger airport. Just as per the photos it was as impressive in real life as on your computer screen. Our villa (4) was well equipped with everything you needed, including the pool. You can tell the owner has travelled and is well traveled as it had everything I've given feedback on other hotels to improve upon or do better - I can't fault this place at all. The staff were wonderful from arrival to us leaving. From our 6 course dinner - where our dietary needs were taken care of months in advance of arrival and remembered, to the complete English breakfast in our pool villa cabana, to the in-room amenities such as the multi-faucet shower, all the Satellite channels (I watched a rugby game live), and the his/hers bathroom and other in-room amenities to the complimentary car wash on day of departure, it made you feel truely special. I would say this was our highlight of our trip and looking back I wish I'd booked a couple more nights here. Would strongly recommend this to all travellers looking for affordable luxury in Hazyview.

The Zarafa was everything we hoped it would be. The private Villa was a quiet oasis after the bustle of the rest of our trip. Having g a private garden and private pool overlooking vegetation was magical. The food was out of this world. And the service absolutely 5 star. Our package included private reserve drives and I cannot stress enough how much better they felt than looking at other tourists packed into jeeps. Barry and Peter, the owners, have created a wonderful oasis of calm and luxury. By far exceeded our expectations.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at The Zarafa. The villas are placed in a way that accords you total privacy. You are in your own little cocoon. The food was so delicious and irresistible and we gained more kilos than when we first arrived. Barry and his staff were very welcoming, made us feel at home and very special. We will definitely be visiting The Zarafa again.

Thank you to Barry, Peter and all the staff for making our stay so special. This was our second visit to Zarafa and it was nothing short of amazing and blissful. Together with my husband they made my birthday extra special. The food is next level and the beautiful villa is perfection. Absolutely worth every cent. Can't wait to visit again. We have visited many places in this valley, but Zarafa blew us away. Barry and his team is incredible. The rooms are beyond anything we have ever experienced with incredible infinity pool. The food was just beyond 5 star quality. A must for anybody and add Zarafa to your bucket list today.

This is not only beautiful place… but the hospitality is also out of this world. It was royal treatment, the place has enough privacy and has the most wonderful refreshing view. It’s excellent,love it
