Romantik Hotel Burgkeller Residenz Kerstinghaus

Arrive early evening and was greeted with a glass of Sekt! It was so very welcome after a hard day's meetings. Unfortunately I only stayed for one night, I was invited out for dinner at a different location, but breakfast was great at the Burgkeller. Staff was very friendly and the location was fairytale. Check out was pleasant and quick - I loved the little gift of home made cookies on check out. The cookies saved me from starvation on my 7 hour trip to the airport. I will be back!

This was the most charming of hotels with an attentive and kind staff. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to all of our family and friends.

Excellent hotel in ideal location. If arriving by train with luggage, be aware that the route from the station is uphill over cobbles. There is a bus, or take a taxi.

Stayed with the family for a couple of days at this nice hotel up on the church hill with a nice view of Meissen and the Elbe. Just a short walk to the old town. Really recommended. Spacious and good room with kitchenette. Nice staff, good breakfast. Had a great dinner on the restaurant terrace with a wonderful view. Unfortunately did not try the spa facilities this time.

What a lovely hotel in a picturesque location. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed very comfortable with high quality linens. We ate dinner at their restaurant Bottgerstube. Dinner was incredible we started with an appetizer of beef carpaccio with shrimp scampi, pumpkin soup, salad of greens & wild mushrooms with pumpkin chutney & country cheese to share. Mache salad accompanied the spatzle with crispy onions & cheese. For the main we shared the ox cheek over herbed mashed potatoes with very delicious roasted carrots. FABULOUS! Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu, wine selection & after dinner drinks. Highly recommended.

We arrived late at night by car, it was a very very narrow road/way to drive up to the hotel… when arrived the view over the old cathedral felt like a fairytale. The check in was so smooth even though the reception was closed. Perfect suite for the family…. Just loved it. Not to mention the view over the town when having breakfast. If I ever get back to that part of the Germany I will definitely stay there and for some extra days.

Hotel in an ancient building with large and beautiful rooms.

Wir besuchten im Rahmen eines zeistündigen Zwischenstops am 08.03.24 das Schloss und im Anschluss wollten wir im Restaurant noch den Blick über die Stadt Meißen bei Kaffee und Kuchen genießen. Beim Betreten wurden wir sehr höflich von einer sehr jungen Bedienung begrüßt. Jedoch nachdem wir am Tisch gesessen haben, wechselte die Bedienung über. Wir bestellten nach längerem Warten zwei Kaffee und zwei Kuchen. Der Kuchen wurde sehr unansehlich auf dem Teller serviert. Die Kirchtorte war sauer und nicht mehr frisch. Das hätte man sehen können, da sich bereits ein Belag abzeichnete. Die Bedienung war nicht auffindbar. Ich half mir selbst und machte mich auf die Suche nach der Bedienung. Erst in der Küche traf ich auf Personal und konnte mein Anliegen, ein anderes Stück Kuchen zu bekommen, äußern. Dieses wurde mir dann ebenfalls halb angebrochen auf einen Teller wortlos serviert. Ich hätte zumindest eine Entschuldigung erwartet (kann ja mal passieren). Beim Bezahlen: Ich winkte zum Abschluss der Bedienung zu, um auf die Rechnung hinzudeuten. Es gab keine Reaktion. Beim zweiten Hindeuten wurde ich unhöflich angemahnt, dass sie bereits mein Anliegen registriert habe. Beim Verlassen des Restaurants rief uns letzentlich die Bedienung ein "Auf Wiedersehen" lautstark hinterher. Ich hätte mich gerne geäußert, dass ich nicht das Verlangen habe, hier wieder einzukehren. Mein Schweigen hierzu war eigentlich der Ausdruck, dass ich nicht noch einmal hierher kommen möchte.

Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer mit Blick auf dem Dom. Ein Highlight ist der Weg vom Parkhaus über einem Panoramafahrstuhl ins Hotel. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Unser Abendessen hatte noch Steigerungspotenzial nach oben.
