North Star Inn

They say service makes all the difference - and that's true. Look the food was amazing, couldn't fault it. Thanks for the meal. However, there was absolutely NO hospitality on the part of the ladies serving at the North Star bar. Rude, unhelpful, short and blunt. Just give the menu, take the orders and smile. That's your job. If you can't do it, people will go to where there is much better service like Jacka Brothers. The people bringing the food were really nice.

Dinner for 2 nights in a row was delicious. First night was Pork Cutlet on a huge bed of sweet potato mash and covered in Hollandaise sauce. Second night was Chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. Both meals were fresh and hot. I couldn’t finish either. I recommend calling to book a table as they do get busy.

We stayed in the green truck room and it was the cutest cosiest place ever! I would definitely recommend it. It has a really cute loft space overlooking the stunning Mount Remarkable. It was well supplied and had everything we needed for our family get away! A great place to visit if you are into mountain biking, hiking and get out in nature. We will definitely be back again

Can not fault this place, good food friendly service, lots of cold bubbly beer on tap. Kangaroo burger excellent Kangaroo snitnzell with vege excellent Chicken snitchell with salad came with rice salad, pasta salad and coleslaw ( not my idea of salad but popular with locals) Grill fish and chip very good Native Apple pie very good (ice cream was cheap vanilla but reflected in price) XXXX, Coper’s and many other beers on tap

What a treat on a winter’s night! Ordered the pork with sweet potato mash and broccoli and it was absolutely delicious! Warm friendly atmosphere- great selection of wines. Loved the slab tables - and random local paintings - altogether delightful.

Unique is a word that would cover this property!! It is in need of some tlc & a good clean. Room was dingy. Shower head fell off. Bed creaked so not much sleep. Broken chairs on the bacony along with a collection of bottles from previous visitors. Kitchen - didn't use it. Decor looks like something from the 60s/70s.

Great pub for dinner. We stayed in the green truck and had a comfortable night stay in a very wild and stormy night. Beats camping!

Staying in the green truck was very different and the kids loved it.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in one of the balcony rooms.Comfortable queen size bed, renovated ensuite. Effective split system reverse cycle air conditioner. Shared kitchenette provided cereal, juice, tea/coffee and bread/ spreads. It was lovely to sit on the balcony on rustic canvas chairs eating breakfast and watching the world go by. Pub meal next door was delicious!
