Beach Club Menorca

Currently staying here at the moment, air conditioning not working, plug socket not working, furniture looks like it's removed from a skip as all damaged, self catering but not adequate to make a sandwich, hotel not willing to sort the air conditioning out and the jet2 area rep a waste of time and lied to us about there being not other rooms even though the hotel web site shows 6 available. Don't book this hotel or use jet2 holidays but book menorca as its brilliant

Excellent location with breathtaking view of the beautiful beach below. Winding down to end the season so very chilled. Staff everywhere on site very friendly. Spotlessly clean apartment and all public spaces. Food was good for the money. Not worth paying extra though for half board plus as drinks available very basic.

Visited "The Beach Club" in Son Parc Menorca for 11 nights with Jet2 Holidays. As usual with JET2 everything went smoothly from check in to arriving at the Resort and back to East Midlands Airport. Reception at the Resort gave the choice of three different apartments. The one chosen had beach views from the large balcony on one side and the three swimming pools from the other side. The on-site mini market, the bakery, two restaurants, pool bar serving hot snacks and laundrette were all just a couple of minutes away from the apartment. The apartment was well furnished with everything needed. It was spotlessly clean and cleaning services came every other day although as the Resort wasn't full, being in school term time, cleaning turned out to be nearly every day! Be aware that the Resort has quite a few steps and is on a hill. The service at reception and in the buffet restaurant were both excellent. The food was varied, in buffet style, and well presented. Could not fault the Resort in anyway. Planning to re-visit without any hesitation whatsoever!

We stayed (12 and 14 year olds with mum and gran) in two sea view suites which were really lovely. The suites are newly decorated in neutral colours and include a small fridge, a kettle, a coffee maker, glasses and mugs. You can hire stand up paddle boards just outside the hotel for €16 and hour via an app, or hire pedalos for €20 and hour or kayaks for €18 and hour at the beach. The beach is closer than it looked on the pictures I'd seen and was beautiful, with pink sand and shallow waters. The pool is huge and there are always sun loungers available. The supermarket is 1 min walk from the pool for cold drinks and lunches or there is the pool bar if you don't mind paying. The pool bar cocktails were lovely! The buffet was hot and the variety good. The paella and the ice cream were favourites. The breakfast was particularly good (especially the fresh eggs, omelettes, and pancakes). The hotel let us swap our evening meal for lunch any day and we just had to let them know at breakfast that morning. The restaurant next to the hotel has beautiful sea views with good cocktails and OK food. For a really lovely meal I'd recommend a taxi ride to Fornells ($16 one way) and head to La Pescador for their seafood stew. We walked to BJs pub one night (about 10-15 mins) for live music and a game of pool - it was a good night out. We had a few issues with the air conditioning and with the shower blocking but they were fixed as soon as we reported them (well the air conditioning in the living room continued not to work so they offered to move us but we chose to stay so that's on us). Also, to set the safe it's '000' not 'R' like the instructions say. Overall, for the price I don't think you can do better than this lovely hotel and the sea views are simply amazing! Would definitely go back.

Awful experience, Rooms desperately needed updating. Kitchen appliances were not suitable for cooking, switch to extractor fan sparked when turned on, no water one day, beds rock hard, shower leaked , floor around shower filthy. Cleaners left doors unlocked and back door open on 2 separate days, air conditioning in bedroom broke twice and the last time wasn’t fixed - four days no air con in the bedroom! We ended up sleeping on the sofas , where the television would sporadically turn on through the night. Pool was shut for 2 days as someone defecated in it. Food in the dining area was poor and not hot and all coffees tasted the same (latte ,etc)I wouldn’t recommend for a family, if you want to sit in the sun and eat mediocre food this is for you. The small supermarket is super expensive, as is the little restaurant in the hotel. It’s also a no smoking zone which people didn’t stick too (there is a little area to go and smoke but I guess people are too lazy to walk there) .

Our 3rd stay at this hotel. So glad we were able to stay in a Suite this time, due to the addition of a fridge (needed for medication). The fridge, coffee machine and kettle all welcome additions to the Suites. We were so happy with the room, it was clean, decorated lovely, large comfortable bed, with the addition of the most beautiful view. Room was cleaned to a high standard daily and towels changed if needed. All staff work hard in all areas. Beautiful gardens. We loved our stay and will return again. Just some minor things - some lighting needed in the car park, food could be hotter in buffet and there was no weekly menus up this year in the foyer of the buffet area. Also, disappointed chef wasn’t cooking to order this year at breakfast. Omelettes, eggs and pancakes were ready made on hot plates. WiFi has been hugely updated since our stay in 2023, had no problem this year. All suites have a beach sea view. We have stayed here 3 times, in a standard sea view room and, this stay, in a Suite. The rooms were impeccably clean and had been decorated and updated since last year. They are functional and have everything you need. The rooms are cleaned daily, with fresh towels if required. The buffet breakfast and evening buffet was superb, with beer, rose/ white wine served as well as soft drinks. All the staff at this hotel work incredibly hard to ensure you have a nice stay with good friendly vibes. There is a lovely pool area with a pool bar serving drinks:snacks. Steps take you down to the gorgeous beach. There is a small well stocked supermarket on site with freshly baked bread daily. We just couldn’t fault the location for us. The resort is very quiet with a handful of restaurants about 10-15 min walk, up hill coming back. We hire a car but there is a bus service at hotel. If you are staying in a standard room you will have the addition of a small kitchen, 2 electric cooker rings, microwave, kettle, sink and crockery etc (no tea towel so take a tea towel)
