Morrison's Rogue River Lodge

The river was perfect for avid but older river lovers, and Morrisons gave us 3 days of fantastic food, amazing sights and sounds, and true personal care from start to finish. Clearly they have done this for longer than anyone, and it showed in the details, timing, organization, and especially the staff! We’ll be back for more…

We went to Morrisons lodge for my 50 b day. We had a 5 day private river trip on the rouge and decided to splurge the night before our launch. Wow factor. Rooms were amazing, views incredible and dinner OMG delicious. Breakfast the following day was a rib sticker mmmmm and they sent us off with smiles and lots of coffee.

Outstanding luxury in a Wilderness-like setting. The room was so comfy, with a very nice bathroom--much nicer than anything else in the Rogue River area. But the area that massively exceeded expectations was the food and beverage. heather at the dining area/bar provided fantastic service. The food was magnificent, and the wine list most impressive. I will definitely be returning.

Our room was in the Lodge on the 2nd floor. Very tiny room right next to the kitchen exhaust. At 1:20 a.m. the fire alarm went off. It was attached to the ceiling so we could not turn it off. There was no one else in the lodge. We opened all the windows and turned on the fan in the room and it finally went out. I reported this to the management but we received no discount/compensation. We also ate dinner here; $45 each for a very small piece of sabelfish and grilled cabbage and small salad. Not a very good value.

Wonderful accommodations, delicious food, friendly staff. Sixteen of our family members ranging in age from 14 to 80 spent 2 nights at the Morrison Lodge "bookending" our Rogue River Rafting Adventure. Special shout out to Robert. Best eggs ever!

This was my second visit to Morrisons. Rooms and amenities are clean and the dinner and ambiance are spectacular...their orange rolls are so good! Take the time to relax by the river in the adirondack chairs and enjoy the fabulous setting. The we found the staff to be kind and accommodating. Can't wait for our next trip there!

First, I want to say that all the staff were incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. The food is very good and the view of the river is lovely... Other than that, this place is incredibly run down and dated. I understand what rustic is supposed to look like and I also understand what a historical hotel should resemble. We still could not believe they were charging over $250 a night for these rooms... No one could sleep because the plug-in refrigerator was so old that the motor was too loud throughout the night... Our air conditioning did not work so none of us could fall asleep because it was so hot in the room. No ceiling fans... In another room that was not the cabins, you had to plug in the coffee maker on the floor of the shower just to get it to work... I don't think this lodge has been updated in over 50 years. It is in desperate need of a gut and remodel If you want to hear your neighbors, this is the place... No insulation in the rooms whatsoever.. There is such a disconnect between the friendly staff and the decaying buildings... I really felt like I was taking advantage of financially.... I should have listened to my friends and stayed in grants pass for half the price in a basic hotel with modern amenities...

The house we rented (tree-tops) was infested with bats and skunks. Not fun. The smell was overpowering and I could hear bats scratching above my head all night. Everything seemed a little dingy. There was gross food in the cracks of the couch. The whole house needs a deep cleaning and an exterminator. The front desk was not helpful or sympathetic. Very unfortunate because we loved staying there in the past and the food/shuttles etc are awesome.

Place and grounds were very nice. Dinner was excellent although I think price was somewhat high for the chicken choice. I was disappointed that steak was replaced by the chicken. Breakfast was like a free breakfast at a hotel. I expected more since it was an extra fee. Room and bathroom were nice although pretty small. Overall, I would stay there again. Staff were very nice.
