Extended Stay America Suites - Phoenix - Mesa

I booked this because I needed a place to stay, fast. How bad could it be? Terrible. It's just gotten cold enough to need heat (and the blankets are like tissue paper). The heater smoked so much it set off the fire alarm. When I told the front desk the alarm had gone off (at 3am) she said "I'm not maintenance." Then my room smelled like smoke AND I was cold. They serve breakfast. Coffee, oa**eal. Nothing fancy at all. Fine. Oa**eal but no spoons. (The lady at the front desk found me a metal one, so thanks.) There were wires dangling from the hallway ceiling. No idea from what. (Image attached.) Hot water in the shower was more like "really really warm water". And the bathroom light wouldn't be bright enough to read by. Wi-fi was bad enough that when I tried to log in to work I was told it wasn't secure enough to accept the connection. So i steered clear of that. It kept a room over my head for the night but that was about it. Staff was nice.

Upon arrival getting into the building was a little tricky. But check in was smooth and easy. The cleanliness of the room we stayed in was poor. Hair in the shower, pee on the bottom of the toilet. Overall old/outdated feeling to the room. Poorly decorated. However the AC/heater worked and the bed was comfortable. There listing states they have a breakfast but it’s just coffee, muffins, and oa**eal. A poor excuse for a breakfast. We ended up having to go out and get something. By the time we got down there there was next to nothing left. Seems like it’s a come first thing in the morning or you won’t get something. For a one night stay it worked but I will not be returning.

Property was not that great for the price. Bottom left side of the hotel door was broken off did not feel safe. 4/10

The room floor was dirty. A pile of dirt and small paper wrapper in corner. Half of a fishing rod in an other corner.

This property was very dirty. The room had stains all over it. The furniture had stains. The mattress was uncomfortable. The small kitchen was scarey very outdated, but there were also no plates utensils, nothing

Kitchen was not supplied with basic items advertised. Breakfast provided was bad coffee and stale packaged breakfast bars

It was just very dirty and not kept up. Mix matched furniture and lightbulbs- some yellow and some white.

No kitchen items in a full kitchen unit, no ice machines, rooms very outdated, paint chipping of walls, stains on kitchen counter, bed and chair very uncomfortable and staff seemed very rude.

Easy to find, clean and a good facility. Long stay or short stay. Nice to have my own kitchen in the room.
